  • After one month, here are my thoughts on the M3 13 inch Macbook Air.
Are there enough differences in this base model to make you rush out and buy it if you have an M series machine already? Let's see...
    My gear:
    Camera: Panasonic GH5
    Lenses:
    Panasonic 25mm F1.7
    Canon 24-70mm F2.8
    Tokina 11-16mm F2.8
    My Microphone: Behringer B1 Studio

Great review! Simple and straightforward 👍🏻 this solidified my decision to get the M2 MacBook Air instead of the M3 due to minimal differences for my usage and to save some budget as well.

Unless you are a heavy gamer, the M3 MacBook Air base model is all the computer most people need. I would upgrade to 16 GB of ram personally to future proof. 256 GB SSD is fine for me since i work primarily off the cloud. Again, other than gaming, the Apple ecosystem is far superior than Windows.

This is my first MacBook air m3 never had any MacBook ever before and my first impression with the base model MacBook m3 is good for what I am using it for. But of course if you want to pay more for a better one thats fine. But for me its not worth it when they all ware out. I think for the average person the base model will do the job fine. Nothing wrong with the base model macbooks it works and thats really what counts. Other options for different peoples needs.

Good video. I create some videos now and again and think I’ll go for the 16gb of ram with 512 hardrive.

One can purchase a brand new M1 MacBook Air for $699…at Walmart.

Do you need a case for the space gray version? Will take it with me and wondering if I need a case to prevent scratches.
Definitely using a padded bag though.
    Any thoughts?

I always use a case as I am very protective of my tech!

Ive been looking at Macbooks for several months at this point and I cant for the life of me find the sweetspot between performance, price and feeling like I wont have to worry about the future for at least a few years. Apple really has made sure that the only way to get peace of mind is to dig deep in that wallet of yours

You could get a ROG Zephyrus G14 for a little more than this and you'll get a nicer screen, more ports, and faster graphics. M3 Pro though, is the one to get for power users. That one will chew through pretty much any video you can throw at it. I think the base M3 is only good for 4K.

Windows and google absolutely suck. Apple is worth more than just its hardware….it’s the whole garden….the ecosystem. It is the respect for my privacy.I cannot imagine going back to windows/google/android.

@@CaesarConsuloProVita up to you. Its your money. I use both, for different reasons. The hardware on the ROG Zephyrus G14 is better though than what's in the MacBook Air. But it's not more powerful than the 16" MacBook Pro for video editing. I made a video on it.
