Mürren to Gimmelwald Wanderweg - Swiss Traveling - Lauterbrunnen & Mürren Switzerland Jungfrau Walk

This amazingly beautiful and scenic hike starts at and goes to two of Switzerland and the world's most beautiful towns - Mürren and Gimmelwald. With breathtaking non-stop views of the Iger, Monch, Jungfrau, Breithorn and other high mountain peaks of the Jungfrau region of the Alps, this hike is a must see and top must-do activity for visitors who want to take in the natural splendor. Easily accessible from Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, you can get to Mürren by one of two routes. First, you can take a cable car from Latuerbrunnen (across from the train station) up to the Grütschalp cable car and narrow gauge rail station, and from there ride the scenic train that goes all the way to Mürren. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Latuerbrunnen train station to Stechelberg, and then a cable car to Gimmelwald and another cable car from there onward up to Mürren. The almost 1,000 foot descent and walk from Mürren down to Gimmelwald is about a 35-45 minute hike at a leisurely pace. You could walk up to Mürren from Gimmelwald, if you prefer to do a predominately uphill hike rather than a downhill one.
