Field stripped the rifle and swap out Flexmag adapter to use Glock magazine. Also added a Riton ARD red dot and will do a follow-up range video in the near future.
Nice PCC from S&W. I wasn't too hype about PCC until I built an Aero EPC-9 PCC, then I went off the rails with upgrade; a Brekke Customs barrel, Smoke Composites furniture, and new buffer with short stroke. I like that the S&W you show can switch mags and the magwell looks pretty flared. From some of the articles on the S&W Response it looks like its supposed to be an entry level PCC, would be nice to see them provide a better charging handle and some kind of back up iron so you could go to a competition with the gun right out of the box.
Sounds like you got a really nice PCC built. I agree with you about the Response, they could've upgraded some of the most used parts on the rifle ie charging handle...I think they did that so you would spend more $ on upgrades😉.
@@redarmory They tried to make it as affordable as possible. If you upgrade what YOU the customer expects, now that price is going even higher and you push away more customers. As i always say, there will always be someone to complain about the build and thats the nature of the game. You cannot make everyone happy. But if you are that person to complain about its build, then build your own from the ground up. I have this AR15 and i love it. Getting the MP15-22 next
you must like s&w so much. that you hard to buy another 9mm carbine... lol well i guess that's cool. i think the FPC is more revolutionary. but i do like that it takes glock mags for the magwells. just wish they thought of that with their fpc when it came out. and fixed the other problems. such as continuing the Picatinny rail on top of the receiver. i dont see how its hard to fix that. they should just sell the part.
I am a dealer and these are for demo. I agree with you they should've done alot of what is on the Response with the FPC. I am guessing that's why it's named "Response". Thanks for your comments.
It does look weak/odd without the adapter attached and would not try to shoot it without all the parts assembled. It is a blowback design, so as long as the force is directed rearward I can't see it being a problem.
It uses the same mags as the S&W FPC and based on my other video it will only accept the S&W M&P 9 series magazine but I will try a P320 and report back.
Good idea, I will test mags from different mfg, but if glocks mags are available, I will always recommend it. Either in match condition or self defense, I want a mag that will work 99.99%...not I hope this mag works even if tested at the range on training day.

@@ACommenterOnCZcams I agree, keep it stock or set it up the way you like and make it unique to how you want it.

That lower receiver looks scary weak without the mag well installed.

I wonder is it will take sig 320 mags. My Sterns defense mag well is for m&p/Sig320 and works flawlessly.

I tested both the Sig P320 M17 and P320 XFive Legion magazine and neither will fit in the S&W Response.
@@redarmory I was hoping! Maybe they will offer one in the future.
what the heck is that frornt sight on the fpc?
I shoot USPSA, so that's a laser at the top of the rail. Don't use it very often, but much needed on hard lean or weak hand/side shooting behind wall.
S&W dealer? What state?
FFL in texas (Houston metro) with same name as CZcams channel.
Try many different mag man. We are more interested in different manufacturer mag
