What truths Pastor Laurie gives us. Very concise and easier to understand than a lot of teachers of the Bible. No slight toward them at all, I’m speaking about, for me, Pastor Laurie’s teaching truly was easier for me to make connections. I love to read Bible Prophecies, and it makes me sad that a lot of Preachers won’t even talk about them, at least in the Church’s that I’ve attended. But then again, I live in a town with a population of only10,000 people.

I cannot comprehend how people can read Mathew 24 and think that jesus takes us before the tribulation. Verse 29 jesus says immediately AFTER the tribulation the sun and the moon turn dark and then he will send his angels to take us.

Joel 3:15
All explain the sun and the moon turning dark after the tribulation.
All of Mathew 24 is Jesus explaining the tribulation and what the saints are going to go through and then he takes us up.
Then after that God pours his wrath out. Then we come back with Jesus and jesus conquers and reigns for a thousand years. Then it is all destroyed and Jesus creates a new heaven and earth.
I dont understand how people mix up Jesus' teaching.

So Jesus returns two times, once in secret, and then again when everyone sees him? I thought there was only one second coming of Jesus. I pray you are right Pastor Greg, because the tribulation would be an awful time to live through. I just can’t think of a time that Christians before us have ever escaped tribulation or persecution. Even Christ’s own disciples were martyred for their faith. Whether pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, or after tribulation we must trust that God will sustain us by His grace.
Yes, Jesus comes twice. Once in the Rapture, when He will not actually set foot on the earth, but believers who have died will be caught up to meet Him in the air first, then we Christians who are alive will go up to meet Him. At the second coming, Jesus returns to earth on the Mount of Olives. This event will be witnessed by everyone.

Rapture? That's when JESUS comes in the clouds and the angels raise the dead from their graves that were asleep. They'll arise and their bodies will change into bodies fit for heaven and the ones left on earth that were saved and believed will join the others in the air and go to be with JESUS and His host of heavenly angels.😊 Don't be misled or deceived, study the scriptures. There is no secret rapture. Everyone will be there for the first part of the tribulation. Theres no escape route. Pay attention be alert. Look for the signs of the times. Blessings
If you're not in your '90s yet get your eyes off of the rapture and going on vacation to heaven! We have great work to do in this great global harvest that's beginning to break upon us now. We were supposed to be "occupying" all of this time, but instead we've been scared of bad man 666 and the Trib, so we've been distracted about the rapture and forgot to occupy. That's why the nation, the society and culture descended into moral chaos, and evil men and women have taken over. We allowed the vacuum. The enemy was more than happy to fill it.
Get with the Lord. Let the Holy Spirit direct you to the right harvest field. Wear the Full Armor of God every minute. Join with brothers and sisters on that school board, County commission, voting precinct, or wherever you're asked by God to serve. Carry the Gospel of the Kingdom. Own it in your heart so that it guides you in your thoughts and desires.

Maybe someone can answer this question.... Why does the Word say we sleep after we pass away, if we go straight to Heaven?
The concern in this pre-trib rapture idea is that it creates a false hope among believers that the church will escape hardship/persecution. How many will truly remain in faith and be spiritually fortified to endure until the end if they were expecting to avoid the tribulation. With respect, Pastor Laurie and other pastor's apologies won't mean much when persecution is at your doorstep because they got it wrong. Consider this brethren! Even if there is a rapture and it happens to be pre-trib, there will still be the birthing pains, the wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes that will occur BEFORE the end. These will be the BEGINNING of sorrows (Matthew 24:6-8).
So true, and how refreshing it is to see another that's a true berean of scripture study that searches the scriptures daily to see if what's taught is true or not!!!😊😊😊 I'm much like minded as you are, and also know that this pre trib doctrine is not a solid biblically based doctrine, but much rather a new doctrine that itches the ears of church goers that don't like the idea of suffering biblical persecution and tribulation. If you do your research this pre trib rapture doctrine started in the early 1800's by William Darby
In five places in Revelation, we are told that no christian survives the Tribulation and the antichrist. So there will be no one who "is alive and remains". The five scriptures are:
Rev 6:11 "They were told to wait a while longer until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been, was complete."
Rev 7:14-16 "These are they who have come out of the Great Tribulation...they will no longer hunger or thirst nor be scorched by the heat."
Rev 13:7 " He was given power to make war with the saints and overcome them."
Rev 13:15 " He was given power to give breath to the image so that it could even speak and cause all that refused to worship the beast or take his name or number, to be killed."
Rev 20:5 " And I saw the souls who were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus Christ."
Jesus Christ dealt with two things when He "came in the flesh"...our sin...and God's WRATH, the WRATH we deserved for our sins. What is the Tribulation? It is God's WRATH poured out on ALL Christ rejectors. When you believe that the church will go through the Tribulation, you are really saying that Jesus never dealt with our WRATH problem. If this truth is rejected, we are undermining the person and work of Jesus Christ...that's the devil's job...so why would we do it? All interpretation of prophecy must be centred in Christ...like it says in Revelation "The testimony of Jesus Christ IS the SPIRIT of prophecy."

Matthew 24: 21-22
] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Also, keep in mind that just because Christians are present on the earth during tribulation doesn't mean that they are on the receiving end of God's wrath. All throughout scripture, we see believers enduring through persecution and hardship, and God was still with them and providing for them in the midst of it all.
Last point, Revelation 6:9 is about the fifth seal and specifically those who were martyred for the faith. If all Christians are removed from the earth via Rapture, then why would there be martyrs mentioned in that passage. It doesn't specify whether those believers came to faith before the tribulation or after it began, so we can't assume.
Here's a thought Greg. If WWIII breaks out, which is essentially a nuclear war, then humanity would be annihilated. How could there be a rapture then if nobody is left? So that scenario to me doesn't make sense. So maybe we are raptured before that happens.🙏🙏
Isaiah 18 may be a prophecy about America in the End Days and why she is not mentioned in the events of Ezekiel 39 & 39, etc. Isaiah 17 and 19 discuss why Syria and Egypt are not there, as well.

There will not be a pre-tribulation rapture. We will not be whisked away.. He has promised to COME for us.
We are not promised to escape tribulation. (only wrath). We are called to REJOICE in tribulation, and to not accept the mark.
Yes, the antichrist will make Great War against the saints... (remember this is SPIRITUAL.warfare)
In Daniel we are told that THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD. (who are not deceived) will make great resistance to the evil one who will declare that he is god.

Sorry, my OCD is distracted by the Tribulation section of the timeline because it goes from 1 to 7 with dots for half-years between, and has the mid-tribulation arrow pointing at the 4, which is central to the eye on the number line. But! The midway point, as Pastor Greg says, is at 3&1/2 years, thus the number line ought to have begun at zero with dots for half-year increments between the numbers up to where it ends at 7, then the midway point arrow would point at 3&1/2. Isn’t it challenging that 1 Thes 4: 13-18 doesn’t mention timing of any kind? It only describes an event. No mention of when.
...and these "teachers" take advantage of this by adding to it what isn't there.
Revelation 12 : 17 and Revelation 14: 12 describes those who will be faithful at the end. Also who it is that Satan is going to war against. Psalms 111 7,8, 10 gives of which Commandments will last forever. If you read Exodus 20 1 - 17
The Out-pouring of the Holy Spirit
What is it? How shall we know when it happens?
We will be needing God's protection before this is over, so please consider doing all you can.
Jesus told us that His words are spirit and they are life. So the Holy Spirit is the words of Jesus. No one is holy that is found on earth today. So, the only thing here that is holy is the very word of God. God sent us His Word so we can enter into the Holy Spirit, the very word of our God, which we should do as directed in Deut.6:8-9 in order to have His spirit protect, lead, guide and instruct us in the way we should go,
It doesn't matter if they choose the Sermon on The Mount, Ten Commandments, any prayer, song, or any other Word of God.
We will know when the out-pouring begins, when we see the results, or as God begins to keep His promises found in His Word, our protection, our healing, longer life, etc.. Some of it has been working because of the word of mouth, but we haven't seen the best until we enter into the Holy Spirit.
Maybe it is time we each do what we can from the whole Word instead of just the one third, being the N.T., alone. Put on Jesus,The Word of God, Deut.6:8-9.
Remember, we have God the Father (the Old Testament), God the Son (the New Testament), and The Holy Ghost (The prophets and other forms of inspiration). If we only follow the New Testament, then we only have one third of the power that God offers us.
By keeping what we can from the Scriptures, we show that it is because of love. We are to love God and our neighbours. Those Scriptures teach us how and shows us what God sees as love.
He has given so much, perhaps we can give more? May our Father bless and keep us all.
Pastor Greg. Believers are noted in two of these phases. In the Rapture, then in the persecution by the AntiChrist. What is the difference between those who are to be raptured, and those who would then be persecuted? Is it a difference of those who believed prior to the rapture and those in those last 7 years who came to believe then? Honest question. I am a believer. I love Jesus however in my opinion it's selfish to want Jesus to return today or soon since I am sure there are people family, friends sons and daughters that haven't made Jesus their Lord and savior for whatever reason. Yes, the souls of the dead are already with Jesus but at the Rapture their bodies will be joined with their spirit.
NO, they are not already in heaven. (only the few who are 'chosen' to ascend)
We are NOT eternal beings... We do not live/exist... anywhere. (only those who are saved are glorified and eternal, at His coming)
We were created of the dust of the earth, to which we shall return. We were given/lended God's breath of life which goes back to God when we die.
ONLY the saved are both resurrected AND are TRANSFORMED CHANGED INCORRUPTIBLE (eternal) as the angels who do not die.
The SECOND resurrection, all who are not in-Christ, happens after the 1000 years.
At this time, they are judged. And those who are not written in the book of life will die.. THE SECOND DEATH.
THE WAGES OF SIN IS.. DEATH. That we PERISH.
For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son... that we might not PERISH but have everlasting life.
( There is NO eternity in hell or hell-fire for us mortal human beings.. Lake of fire has been prepared for satan and his demons, who are eternal beings)
Those who are saved, and are now eternal beings (like the angels who do not die)
The SECOND DEATH has no power over them..
Thus they can be with the Lord, forever.

I would think the antichrist would be the same age as Christ when he was resurrected since the Antichrist imitates him

You misunderstand then. Yes Christ only comes back one more time to Earth but when the rapture happens He won't actually come back to Earth physically. There will be many after the rapture happens that will become devout Christians during the tribulation time and those Christians of the future are who He is referring to.

If the rapture of the church happens before the anti Christ turns up, how is he able to persecute beleivers after he comes? Why are the beleivers still around when the anti christ turns up? Sorry confused here.
How do we know the Bible is true? We have the sure word of prophecy. Jesus said,"I tell you what will happen, before it happens, so when it happens, YOU WILL BELIEVE." I have studied Bible prophecy for coming up on 50 years. We are living in amazing times. Jesus tells us 365 times in the Bible not to be afraid. One time, for each day of the year. Look up, for our redemption draws near.

I love Pastor Greg Laurie, but I'm one of those that disagree about the timing of the rapture. Because, every pastor - my dad included - always teaches that the rapture happens, then the antichrist comes, but clearly this isn't the case- that's backwards. It's the antichrist first, then the rapture.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

That's dangerous false doctrine. The passage in 1 Thessalonians clearly says that those things will happen at the same time Jesus returns. There's only one second coming.
But it's a popular false doctrine, because people love to hear that they won't ever have to suffer the hardships of Earth's final years. Those who prefer to have their ears tickled will reap the fruits of their complacency.
