Mondello is located about 11 kilometers north of the city center of Palermo and divided from it by a charming green park called Parco della Favorita and protected by mountain Monte Pellegrino and mountain Monte Gallo.
Mondello also offers some attractions to visit, among them, do not miss the many beautiful Liberty-style villas, which are considered to be the best Italian expression of the Art Noveau style. Many of these villas were built by architect Ernesto Basile, and the most famous one is Villa Caboto.
Located on a pier in the middle of Mondello bay there is an impressive Liberty-style building of the twentieth century, completely restored and called Charleston. The Bathing Establishment, designed by architect Rudolf Stualker, was originally designed for the city of Ostend, but was moved to Mondello due to the greater beauty of the landscape. T

he construction was entrusted to the company of Giovanni Rutelli, son of the well-known sculptor Mario Rutelli, who managed to build a building resistant to the corrosive action of water and salt. The structure was decorated with scrolls, friezes, sculptures, stained glass windows and bright colors, so as to be elegant as well as functional for bathers.
The unique building is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau architectural works in Europe.
In the town of Mondello, you can visit the Cathedral, or you can simply get lost in its streets, squares, its picturesque port or in one of the many cafes and restaurants along the seashore.

Wonderful Mondello
I visited this beach on a cruise stop in Palermo a few years ago. It was one of the most fabulous beaches I have ever seen. I hope I can go back one day.

I am an American currently living in Firenze. When my lease is up in October I have been looking into moving south. Most likely Sicily. I have been looking for apartments all around the coast of Sicily. Looking for a one year lease and trying to find a place right along the sea. I will definitely need to look further into Mondello!!! Hi, I'm from Palermo and I can tell you that there are much more beautiful places than Mondello in Sicily both in terms of the beauty of the beaches and the quality and clarity of the sea water.

@@kevinelezi7089 Vai a Balestrate, però devi avere l 'auto a circa 40 Min da Palermo. Mondello ad Agosto è troppo caotica e l 'acqua tende a sporcarsi.. Mondello va bene da Maggio a giugno. Poi in Sicilia ci sono tantissime spiagge molto belle ma devi avere l 'auto.

Both of them are big islands . Sicily you can go to Taormina and Etna vulcano for 2 days . Or palermo . Sardinia you can go to Olbia

is Poseidonia, an aquatic plant, this plant is protected and its presence proves that the water is not polluted. After a day of rough sea or a storm, some plants die and are carried by the waves to the shore. Usually the next day it is clean again as if it had never been there. In Italy we say: "the sea takes and the sea gives"
Mondello is a neighbourhood of Palermo not a town
Da questo video non appare, ma mi stavo chiedendo: perchè in Sicilia c'è mondezza abbandonata ovunque? Per favore non diamo la colpa agli amministratori, è troppo semplice! La colpa è SEMPRE di chi sporca, mai di chi pulisce o dovrebbe pulire. Primo non abbandonare rifiuti ovunque. Poi possiamo lamentarci di chi amministra.
@ManuCompilations Certo la colpa è ANCHE di chi amministra, ma i rifiuti abbandonati ovunque nelle campagne è responsabilità di cittadini incivili che non intendono assolutamente cambiare la propria testa e che non sono interessati al bene pubblico ma solo a quello proprio.
In ogni caso gli amministratori sono eletti dai cittadini e quindi sono esattamente la media dei cittadini elettori. A cittadini disinteressati del bene pubblico, corrispondono amministratori disinteressati del bene pubblico. Quindi bisogna migliorare i cittadini, spero che ci siano dei giovani di buona volontà, tutto dipende da loro. Saluti.
@ManuCompilations Quindi la soluzione è buttarla in un campo secondo te, non prendertela col tuo comune per un servizio che non esiste. Forse dovresti imparare un po' di civikltà, fatti un giro in Europa e vedi com'è la vita, per fortuna molto diversa dall'Italia!
Ma che schifo è diventata Mondello . Un susseguirsi di “ vuo’ cumprà’” , bancarelle a centinaia , locali di infima categoria ,più che altro verande sporche, bagni infrequentabili, chiasso e musica assurda nei ristoranti,canzoni urlate a squarciagola. da improbabili e improvvisati “ cantantucoli” ,tanto da lasciare il locale ! Ci sono tornata dopo anni e anni e sarã stata l’ultima volta .
Un paradiso terrestre 🤦🤦🤙🤙
