The audacity to say a gt2 isn’t a supercar
The early models of GTR had faulty transmissions which caused em to break when doing launch control. Thats why some of them are so cheap. I'd get a 2017 model if I were to get one, its one of my dream cars.
They fixed this issue in 2012

The new ones have to be build to make real power as well
unfortunately, you are all incorrect. The launch control and R mode was set to too high of an RPM. It was too aggressive. It was like 3500 RPMs and then you just drop the brake and it launches, which broke the transmission. The fix was an update to the software which brought the RPM launch down to like 2200 to 2500 RPMs in R mode for the launch., In fact, was the fix. You’re welcome.

The C-8 Corvette, as Corvettes have always been, is the best sportscar/supermarket value on the planet.
But it is a Chevrolet (bowtie) which makes it non super car unlike #1 from the mighty super car maker Nissan /s
Very few cars in the world can match C-8 base performance, Nissan isn't one of them Even fewer can match Z-06 or E-Ray performance. None of those are less than double C-8 costs. None are made by Datsun(Nissan).

@@Enderito performance is not the only benchmark. The Viper is a hand-built and low production exotic. It’s first 8.0L V10 was codeveloped with Lamborghini. Furthermore, at the time the 8.3L was released in 2003, tell me what could compete against it….supercars. The Viper has broken track and performance records in every iteration of its history and is STILL faster than 911’s 20 years newer. Let me add again, more corvettes have been produced in one year than Vipers in their entire production history. Toss in victory at Le Mans and that you probably see 10000 corvettes for every Viper…. I don’t know how you judge a supercar, but you’re wrong.

It looks like one of the main qualifiers for a car to be considered a "supercar" is to have a mid-engine. Another is superior handling.
The GTR can flex both JDM supercar and musclecar because of it's superior handling and straight-line performance.
The Viper and DB9 are more suited for the musclecar description. The DB9's handling is more on par with a musclecar than it is an exotic. A huge beefy V12 in a boat of a chassis makes this one less nimble than its would-be competitors. Let's just say, its no 911 in the corners.
I know the Brits will massacre me for saying that, but whatever. I don't care if "musclecar" is only considered an american car description. We now live in a world with a mid-engine corvette. They can get over themselves.
That being said, replace the Viper, GTR, and DB9 with the 911 Turbo, NSX, and C8 corvette. Then this list will represent the title more accurately. By including front-engine vehicles, you might as well include the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye on this list. It's not any harder to handle than a viper. And you can find them for $75k. Their condition at that price... Is questionable. The 1st gen NSX you can find for under $100k. The 08 911 you can find for under $100k as well.
Otherwise, the video might as well be called "X fast cars we love for cheap"

@@Camreezyy The Ferarri 812 Superfast is Front-mid engine, RWD. It's powered by a 6.5L V12. Pushing 789, or 819hp. It's a prime example of a supercar. I don't know where your question even comes from.

Jaguar f type R. Can find them for like $40-60k. AWD supercharged 5.0 v8 550hp. Looks like an Aston Martin. Andddd they are actually extremely reliable as the 5.0 design was based off the coyote 5.0 from ford. I owned a 2019 for about 6 months and it was an absolute blast. Bought it for $35,500 and sold it later for $44,000. 19k miles salvaged title.

I know it's not a "supercar", but the closest thing I will likely ever own was an E90 M3. 414hp flat plane crank v8! Put some track pipes, exhaust, and a tune, and you're talking 450hp with a screaming 8k rpm v8. They are pretty light for a sedan and if you put some sticky rubber on, you can keep up with just about any "supercar". I sold mine in 2022 for under 20k...

Love the e90 M3....but it doesn't have a flat plane V8. It's essentially the e60 M5 V10 minus two cylinders. I've been fortunate to own a e46 M3 and two Audi B7 RS4s...still have a 2008 - same engine as the R8 - 4.2L V8...revs to 8250 RPMS...pure magic...and it also has the brakes from a Lambo Gallardo - 8 piston Brembos with 2 piece rotors.

Jaguar ftype also a good Option you can get the 550hp v8 version here in germany for like over 50k euros and i am pretty sure its cheaper in the US nice car with good sound.
They go for $39k and less pretty commonly over here

The GTR doesn’t need to be Italian or Euro actually supercars in general don’t need to be limited to Italy or Europe.
Finally got into a 12-15k range a month I’m 22 and I live at my moms house so I’m thinking of getting a V8 vantage or a cheap 911 unsure yet

actually i am planning to get a db9 volante they are great deals found one for 74k 6k miles and the new vantages are cool i might get one because the new vantages are 94k for 10k miles or a gallardo great car too
also i suggest a 997 turbo s from my pov cool porsche too, or if you got money buy a mclaren 570 gt or a 570 s

I like some of the cars that features here but you know all of them will be tough to maintain especially with V8 is close to be extint like the previous V10 & V12. Yes, they have awesome sound which everyone like included me. But sooner or later they will be belong to the museum or the luxury cars garage.
If you want some to use daily. That BMW I8 could be it. Shame though it wasn't as fast as the others or their M sport badge. If you want the coolest car here. Its a no brainer go for the Ferrari 360 or Lamborghini Gallardo. Just see to it you have the bucks to maintain it every now & then.
McLaren though is newer with its 2012 model year. Yet it will make your head crack to maintain it. Nissan GTR35 I guess is the better option here if you want relaibilty & you can also customized it to add more horsepower

These are freat value for money but they’re not cheap without a reason. Some of these have a very serious reliability issues. You’ll spend more on maintenance

okay so i know it's not a supercar but it's close i have a 1996 mustang 3.8l v6. and i am very happy with it, it only needs a lott of chuning :)
Just try to keep a '12c McLaren on the road. Frequent breakdowns, waiting months for parts to come off back order (waited 3 months for a transmission, had it installed and it had the same problem as the first one after 241 miles) no thank you. The GTRs are reliable, have blistering performance and if you don't a slightly rough ride daily driver reliability but does anyone find this car attractive? If Nissan had put a little more effort in styling it would have possibly been desired car on this list but l guess they figured it's performance would overshadow it's blocky look. Too homely for my tastes.

the db9 in my opinion is the best one so long as you get a warranty, the aston is one of the cheapest ones coming in for less than your average new car price while offering a more daily drivable v12 supercar that you can take anywhere but the hood! track car? check! Dorsia special? Check! timeless elegance that may very well be worth 6 figures when it becomes a classic? one word for you... CHECK!!!

If you get an i8, get one with less than 50k miles and make sure all the maintainance has been completed promptly and properly. If you do that, you're getting a really unique car ownership experience for the price. I did it, and regret nothing. Hell of a car for what it's intended to be.
The Maserati Cambiocorsa has the Ferrari engine and F1 tranny.
I could've had one for well under 20k but now they've disappeared.

Buy an I8 if you like spending 15k a year in maintenance and like to be broken down every month plus you get to drive a heavy boat with a sticky dashboard and plastics that rattle along with fitment issues and quality issues that rival a Yugo.

That was not the experience I had at all when I owned mine. I absolutely adored it. The plastics were firm, it ran damn near perfect, it was extremely nimble and great in the canyons and wasn't boaty at all, and everyone that thought it was slow that rode with me immediately took that back. Most people think it's just electric. It's super hated and misunderstood. It's not an M car, and it was never meant to be one. I will own another one soon, but I just bought an RS6 which was a lot higher on the list for me. Cheers!

@@speedlife301 Well it kinda is because it outputs around 400hp stock. when the r35 came out it was competting with ferrari and lamborghini at the time with the f430 and gallardo. which most performance factory stock cars back then were considered supercars going over 180mph.
@bikoiscrazzy4007 400hp isn't all that much anymore and hasn't been for a while. Certainly not in supercar territory when virtually all the mid-level sports cars have more. The GTR came out in 2008. It hasn't been competitive with supercars since around 2012.
