- Scenes in Wallasey & Birkenhead during World War II from 1939 - 1945.
We don't realise today just how fortunate we are or the real hardship, sacrifices and loss suffered by those that went before us. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Doctor George Seymour Swan, who helped to rescue Annie Done and Florence Bithell after the Well Lane bombing of 1941 went with his wife Margaret to live in Australia in 1964. He set up prosthetic limbs units in Sydney Hospitals. His wife passed away there in 1984 and he in 1988.
Fascinating watching this, I was born in 1943 & my brother 1941. How my parents managed I can never imagine. Four houses next door but one to ours were bombed. My dad was in Wirral's own dad's army :-) and would be in the Wallasey march.
