Nowadays I've seen these extremely close families where the kid tells their parents every single thing, including their dating life and high school gossip. Has that always been a thing? It sounds extremely uncomfortable.
Why is it that I have no recollection of anyone telling me anything when I was younger? I also don't remember my first album I bought or first kiss. It all just merges together.

This is the world I live in here in East Hollywood. All these parents around me value the preservation of “good feelings” over literal truth and facts of the human experience.
