I was inspired by Warren Zanes new book Deliver Me From Nowhere, about the making of Springsteen's Nebraska album. (Check out Zanes' own records as a founding member of The Del Fuegos!) Also, I always found the intro of "Open All Night" perplexing so I took this opportunity to finally figure it out!

yeeeehh, I've been a Bruce fan for many years, and I love this song!
I never found transcription of the intro in the last 30 years... finally we have it!!!
My transcription of the intro gets us in the ballpark but there's a little twist at the end that I haven't quite figured out...
@@jkehew1 yes... it's a tricky riff this intro... I even don't know if Bruce was so able to play it, maybe somebody else did it!!!

At the time Springsteen started, I wasn’t too impressed with him. That said, I bought this album SO long ago, the day it was released in the 80s w a few other albums. Played the album when I got home, and been loving it ever since. It’s a great album, especially if you know the back story about why he went. Haven’t read Zane’s book, but there were interviews done at the time because he seemed to depart from the sound that brought him fame. I think. I played guitar and could never get it right. This song is one of the gems and all because of the intro, I think. Great job.
