  • In this video I do a walk around of our 2021 Network RV Terrain Tuff Off Road Triple Bunk caravan (say that 5 times fast). I will go through some of the standard features and also the optional extra's that we opted for during the build.

    Great vid guys looks the goods. One question what is your ball weight loaded? Thanks

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks mate, the ball weight loaded (from memory) was just under 300kg... the 200 series is good for 350kg and our GVM upgrade helps us out with that... also having the tyres and bikes on the rear also balanced it out quite well... it probably isn't ideal but we drive to conditions and are always mindful of our weights ;)

    Hey guys, great setup. We pick up or 2022 22ft off road terrain tuff within the month. I was curious to how long you get in the shower with the 28 lt tank we have 3 small children also and this is a bit of a concern. Also what is the refill/heat time?
    Cheers
    Brad.

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety

      Cheers Brad, we find that we can shower all 3 kids (say before dinner) and then when we have our showers (after dinner) it is all good again..... from memory it only takes about 15-20 mins on gas to heat back up (an hour on 240v), if u r off grid the showers are only a quick splash and dash anyway so we can do all 5 in one hit 😎😎

    Hey mate good work with the videos. What made you choose Network RV? Did you look into any other manufacturers?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      We liked the features, price and build quality so we just stuck with NRV... we didn't want to spend over 80k on a van, so that ticked all the boxes 👌👌 also build time was half of everything else so made a big difference... this was 1.5yrs ago though 🍻🍻

    Nice van mate. We have just put a deposit down for the 21 footer. Tell me, did you guys bother getting the ceramic protection they try to sell you? We have opted for it, but second guessing our decision now as a feel its not going to matter once we get scratches etc from offroad

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey mate, nah we didn't get it as we knew we were going to flog it a fair bit and then just get it detailed properly when we finish our lap or go to sell it. Would be interesting to see how it goes as we really do give it a flogging, ha ha...

    do you mind sharing what tire pressure are you running the van? for bitumen and offroad, pls..

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey mate, really depends on how bad the road is... highway pressures I run about 45-50psi in the caravan and 40psi in front and 50psi in rear of cruiser. If we hit corrugated dirt road or sand I drop them down to 20psi front, 25 rear and van to 25psi also....

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      We run the DJI Mavic Air fly more combo setup, absolute love it... have crashed it in Kings Canyon (30m drop) with nothing but a busted prop, ( easy replace).... such a good drone and good software to run it.... def recommend 👌👌

    Hey guys
    Just bought 21,6 double bunk second hand. How do you clean the flyscreen and are they miggy proof ?
    Second are you still travelling?
    Cheers Marcus

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 3 měsíci

      Congrats on the purchase, we found ours to be semi midgee proof... the roof vent mesh isn't so we kept them closed and we put midgee mesh screen on the security door as it had the channel to run the mesh rope (like a fly screen at home)... other people have sprayed the mesh with mozzie spray from the inside out, but we never tried that as we figured it would attract the dust.... yellow/orange tape on the outside lights will help keep the bugs down too.... unfortunately we just sold our van, we have settled back into normal life now :(

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey, it is just one that goes into a tow hitch receiver, it was an after thought and if we did it again I would get the proper one that bolts directly to the back of the van :)

    What are your weights both van and cruiser?
    I am currently looking at the same van just working out real world figures. Thanks!!

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety

      Cruiser and van together are 7300kg. Cruiser has 4t GVM and van is 3350kg ATM so we just scrapped it in when it was weighed, but obviously this fluctuates with load etc... we know we are always very close to the limit, have just unloaded a lot of unnecessary items (blankets, cold weather gear etc) so hopefully lighten the load a little ;)

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety

      Hey mate, we have a 4T GVM upgrade on the 200 series, I think they are going to soon be bringing out a 7.3t GCM upgrade soon which will be a game changer.... most people on the road would be over weight, it is quite hard to be light with full time travelling (and 3 kids)...
