  • In this video we take a tour of the inside of our Network RV - Terrain Tuff triple bunk offroad van.
    See what we have done to make it our own and what we added from the factory to make it easier to house a family of 5 travelling full time.

    Thanks for the detailed walkthrough. We picked up some great storage tips. We picked up our Network RV 19’6” last month, can’t wait to get on the road in Oct…restrictions permitting 🤞🏻🤞🏻

    I own a Network Terrain Tuff 19’6 van and believe they are a great van with a strong chassis and a tuff alloy composite skin.
    The cupboards and kitchen build is very strong and fully sealed, so that’s a plus. The full sized shower is fantastic and the swivel door beats those stupid sliding doors.
    Worth a look!

      @@robertjohnston3658 couldn't agree more, we had very minimal trouble with ours and we put at least 50-60k on it during our travels 💪💪

    Just thought I would let you know, we have the same washing machine. When I have been parked next to a running clean river, I have actually bucketed water into the machine and using the generator been able to wash clothes. You just have to keep an eye on it and when the wash cycle finishes , stop machine and bucket in clean water for your rinse. The advantage of a Top Loader.

      Thabks mate, we love the fusion loc but apparently it may damage the walls??? Will have to find out if we pull them off 🤪

    • @twocoddiwompletravellers
      @twocoddiwompletravellers Před 2 lety

      Our van was made by the same factory, we installed Fusion Loc in the bathroom then realised later that we couldn’t open our overhead cupboard completely so after a few months we took it off and moved the rail else where, didn’t damage the wall at all.

    Awesome walk through guys! We're yet to get a caravan, hopefully order one next week at the Brisbane show. If there was one thing you would change about your caravan or one mod you would opt for during the build, what would it be?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for that, good luck with your van :) I would go lithium if we did it again ... in saying that our setup is fine for what we want (maybe get a dc/dc charger installed in the van) but we do have to monitor it a fair bit while off-grid... a decent lithium/solar setup would mean less keeping and eye on things ;)

    • @robertjohnston3658
      @robertjohnston3658 Před 27 dny

      Go with Lithium upgrades for sure if you plan to remote camp and stay out of caravan parks.
      But consider doing that after purchase using an experienced caravan electrical contractor, as it will be a better system for your money. But these systems are not cheap and only use branded quality products not cheap Chinese crap, as you can’t afford to risk an electrical fire!

    What is the brand of the pressure fan? Did you install it yourself?
    I don’t like to one they put in my van. It’s operates while driving and the system sucks air turning and blowing air in the van but it also sucks bugs. I have to clean bugs on my bed anytime I travel. I need to change it.

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety

      It is an ARL pressure fan, very similar to carafan but a bit cheaper. It has a filter on the outside so that would definitely stop the bugs coming in. It is also hooked up to a switch so we can turn it on and off when on dusty roads.... it was installed during the build but I'm sure retro fitting it to tour van shouldn't be an issue.

  • @bensimpson9163

    Great video. Did you have the inverter and extra battery installed by Network or a different sparky after you took delivery?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the Ben, we had the inverter installed (But we bought it and had it delivered to the factory) during the build in which they incorporated the A/C switch style inverter. This makes all of the power points live during use of the inverter instead of only 1 dedicated GPO. The battery we installed ourselves after pickup as we had a near new one after converting our Landcruiser to Lithium....
      Hope this helps :)

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  Před 2 lety

      @Muzza makes a statement thanks mate, the battery box doesn't have a lock on it but I'm sure if u wanted to it could be easily done. The invertor was only an extra $250 to be installed and wired up to a 3 way switch, but I paid for and supplied the inverter separately.... good luck with ur van ;)

      We haven't had a drama, our kids are pretty heavy sleepers but we usually have a routine of either staying outside for an hour or so before heading in (after they go to bed) or just going to our bed and reading or watching TV etc. Good thing about having the concertina door also is we can still have the light on etc.... hope that helps 🍻😎
