I love how the IJN ships are just "very bad", and the only reason the normal IJNs aren't bottom tier is because WG decided to add another line of even worse IJN cruisers into the game.
As if I needed another reason not to play the game, but how does a faction that were in the game from the very start not only have some of the lowest number of T9 Cruisers, but also the worst... clear-cut case of WG refusing to make lines that people spent a significant amount of time grinding worthwhile, and instead incentivising you to just put more money into the game. ;)
Kronstadt is the only one ship i can use on the T9 ranked. it helps your team when you reach you position (radar 12km) and its tanky enough for help your team to move for support you, or just repositioning for a new chance.
I love playing schroeder in ranked, fully sec build, even slot 6 sec module, you sneak up on caps, help dds and flank bbs, you can do okay damage against bbs on broadside with ap, you can citadel cruisers, it‘s a really fun hit and run playstyle due to its speedboost and its concealment

@@x3ni487 Im not very good at the game but, Azuma is a long range HE spammer with a 310mm guns that can sometimes cit some things but since it is a long lange spammer means you'll likely survive more with it, meaning More time alive = More time to deal damage Also since shoots from a "Safer" distance (Azuma has like 19.6km base range) you are also less likely to die quick, i'm probably missing a lot of things, but in resume it is a very consistent ship which means consistent credits
I think you underestimate the Schroder in ranked, the speed is incredibly useful with the hydro, I kill dd's easily as I sneak up to caps, also smoke farming cruisers never expect me to sneak up and I devstrike them usually, I've taken down bb's due to just being fast and agile to get their sides and they need to turn their guns, Schroder is up there with my Alaska, it is rediculous when you are in the fight. Secondaries also help a lot with dd's.
You're absolutely right. Schroder is the best cruiser in ranked for bad players. Press W, aggressively push cap to support DD, 6 km hydro and secondaries are auto delete for DDs. Especially good in Arms Race. Love this ship. Sincerely, bad WoWs player.

Brindisi u totally underratet!! The Turret -angles are one oft the best, very fast (~39kn) + u can often sneak and kill DDs, and thats the Win for the (Ranked) Match. I see the Armor layout BUT ingame, for me its like the Venezia (idk why)...try and Play it please! (normally iam not a fan of that Italien Cruiser Line, but it absolutly surprised me, cause i try to finish new the IJN-Mission line)
Yeah Alaska is easily the best cruiser. However, its so easy to bully it with a Rupprecht for example. Thats why i think cruisers arent the best choice for ranked these days.
Cruisers are in general just a bad pick for a long time now. Every new BB comes with overmatching guns and DDs have more utility and impact cruisers ever could, without a citadel. State of the game is already incredibly poor with CVs and subs but stuff mentioned above doesn't help either.
Tbh, cruisers are only good at T10 and 11. Everything below is pure cannon fodder with some goodish outliers that are, more often than not, BB like BCs (like Alaska).
German BC line i really enjoy - with secondary build i just feel like an imperial star destroyer, blasting with lasers princess Leia's ship as im chasing it. I try the Agir sometimes, but i die to fires more than anything else, and without manual secondaries, im just sending fireworks for the enemy to announce like Arnold in Predator: "Come on do it! Come on kill me i am here! Come on do it now! Kill mee!"
Kronshtadt feels like cheating honestly, I always bring it when I am just playing for the win. It can regularly tank over 3.5 mil potential dmg and still be pretty healthy. It's perfect for stopping enemy push. One thing to note, you have to build it for maneuverability, that way you can really expose your belt armour.
Alaska is broken because it smashes cruisers. Kronshtadt is broken because it smashes cruisers and doesn't die unless it's torped or smashed through the bow. (same as alaska really, but alaska can't have kuznyet-dieov on it)
@@Terrathrax I use the skill that buffs your accuracy in certain conditions (I have no idea how is it called or when did I even specced it, i have not enough xp to respec the captain, so it stays as it is), which helps to aleviate it a bit, but yeah the dispersion is not so great.
@@user-yc2pk5iy7e Not really, if you are profficient with WASD hacks. With rudder mod and prop mod, it can dodge pretty well, yeah your concealment is 14 ish km, but if you are playing Kron for concealment, you are playing it wrong.

17.30 Marseille actually has improved accuracy on secondaries, similar to Massachusetts, Georgia and Ohio. Ägir has no secondary accuracy improvement at all. If Marseille couldn't hit shit, then Ägir will miss even if it's a star destroyer sized shit. For some reason people do not seem to understand that the upcoming secondary range perk doesn't just make any secondaries suddenly viable.
I like agir is really good to play in ranks and randoms I like to play I don't have alaska and kronstadt sadly and one thing I like about agir is the 76mm HE which is really good against Soyuz who is bow in.

The CA line is solid until you get to Ibuki, which is just adequate for randoms. The CL line is a travesty. I think Gokase is relatively good and fun, Shimanto is just adequate, and the others are horrible. The premiums are overall good. Exceptions would be Katori (performs well enough, but it's sooooo sloooooow it's boring), Yahagi and Azuma. For randoms, that is.
Agree 100% I have roughly the same WR maybe a little better. Neptune is a DD killer in ranked which wins games. It's also great for spamming torps and farming BBs.
As a new player that picked Neptune becuase I thought all ships were more or less the same and it sounded cool. I could't for the life of me understand why no matter what I did, I just get deleted by everything. T10's literally kill me in their first volley. Atlest I got to know I literally wasted so much time :/
I do play Carnot a lot. Few seasons ago, I did whole ranked with it easy. If you now how to play this ship, it's a beast. That alpha dmg from AP is horrendous. But you NEED TO FLANK enemy. It's a super fast BC.

Ranked matches usually dont last enough for DPM-cruisers to impact enough. I prefer DD-Killer-Dd's. Dont make lots of damage but the wins are just more consistent, no matter how dumb your BB's are.
Ägir is an easy A for me. The gun performance is pretty much the same (even slightly better with AP, but worse with HE) as Alaska. The only major combat differences are that it trades Radar and some tankiness in exchange for torps and better hydro. That ain't much in randoms, but as ranked is mostly close quarters, both torps and +1km hydro can make a massive difference.
With all the nerfs Petro has gotten overtime, honestly the Riga feels like a better ship to play these days, assuming its a Petro without the unique upgrade
Schroeder is almost at Alaska tier for silver ranked on NA thanks to having concealment equal to secondary range, ridiculous 1/4 pen secondary DPS and speed boost that allows you to get in hydro range to murder DD's fast... and enough tankiness to oftentimes withdraw to heal and fight again.
At first, I viewed the Tulsa as a mini-desmoines and used the range module to compensate for its lack of shooting range. After some disappointing games, I changed the way I played him by no longer considering him as a desmoines. I also replaced slot 6 with cannon reloading. I literally rediscovered the ship with this and started to appreciate it. Just don't be like Desmoines, she has its own gameplay.
Just to speak in Tulsa's defense really quickly, her DPM isn't actually *that* much worse than Buffalo's, with only a roughly 5% difference in DPM. With her more traditional aB-y turret layout, she can also deal more damage bow-in than Buffalo can with her aB-Xy configuration. I'm not going to say that Tulsa is perfect, but the gunpower difference between Buffalo and Tulsa aren't actually that large, down to the fact that she has half the guns but also half the reload!
I take Takahashi into ranked for the challenge. It's like playing WOWS on hard mode, if you can carry a game in the Takahashi then you can carry a game in anything. If I want to breeze through ranked on easy mode then I just bring my Georgia or Alaska.
Marseille has better dispersion than Agir, testing them on the PT. Was getting about 30% accuracy on the Napoli, 20% on Marseille, but the small caliber makes them poor for dmg. Schroder was about 15% but they do a lot of dmg, and Agir about 13%, with decent dmg because like Schroder has 1/4 pen. Schroder in ranked is very strong. A- tier
But Alaska burk as hell... just all who have HE shott at tht cruiser, burn it with 2 fires... alaska will burn for 60 sec (if not use module and flag) for half of her hp, and then again burn) Who the hell scared this ship in run awey meta of spamers? THe same with all others super cruisers ....
When I play cruiser, I bring the Ibuki. I know, I know. I make it work tho with my 65% ranked WR. Edit: Let me clarify, I normally play DD in ranked, but my just-Ibuki WR is still over 52%
Although Alaska is a good ship, no doubt, it burns in a couple of minutes of continuous golden rain in a few minutes, and this is really very powerful 😁
have to disagree on santander, while on paper she looks terrible and the guns are terrible she out trades everything and can zone out DD's and cruisers thanks to fast heal and fast radar, i push in super hard with santander using radar to help my dd kill theirs then start trading hp for damage. santander has a very wierd playstyle of any ship ive played the guns are so bad yet you have so much health that if your not fighting over match bb's most games you still finish 80 to 100k damage and you counter everything i mean everthing that is not overmatch you can just sit in key positions being a absolute pest and the enemy can do nothing, ive fought quite a few alaska's trying to take map control off me and its a fight they lose, alaska cant outdamage santanders heal that that is a big thing to consider since alaska is king of ranked. she also gets good torps as well. santander is a very misunderstood ship because her playstle is very different from other cruisers but she is a solid A due to radar and heal spam
Hector is dumpster fire level garbage. It's kind of a mash up between Sejong and Neptune but has the combined weakness of both without strengths. It eats cits like Neptune but only has a standard heal....even Sejongs heal is better. Hull is sort of fat for a CLAA so dodging is harder than Sejong or Neptune. Firing arcs are hardly better than Sejong but less DPM, less fire chance, weird gun layout that cuts DPM even more. Crawling smoke has a long cool down and finding an island is the only viable play between smokes. The Hector could have possibly been a good cap ambusher against DDs but it got an 11th hour nerf and now only has a 3km dd self protection hydro. Hector is probably the worst reward steel,Coal,RB ship in the game.

Being a BB player in this ranked season, my biggest threat regarding cruiser from my experience is actually Drake

Schroder was about 15% but they do a lot of dmg, and Agir about 13%, with decent dmg because like Schroder has 1/4 pen. Schroder in ranked is very strong. A- tier
But Alaska burk as hell... just all who have HE shott at tht cruiser, burn it with 2 fires... alaska will burn for 60 sec (if not use module and flag) for half of her hp, and then again burn)

When I play cruiser, I bring the Ibuki. I know, I know. I make it work tho with my 65% ranked WR. Edit: Let me clarify, I normally play DD in ranked, but my just-Ibuki WR is still over 52%
Although Alaska is a good ship, no doubt, it burns in a couple of minutes of continuous golden rain in a few minutes, and this is really very powerful 😁
Schroder and Agir are A class. I agree with everything else besides maybe Drake, it's probably D class.
have to disagree on santander, while on paper she looks terrible and the guns are terrible she out trades everything and can zone out DD's and cruisers thanks to fast heal and fast radar, i push in super hard with santander using radar to help my dd kill theirs then start trading hp for damage.
santander has a very wierd playstyle of any ship ive played the guns are so bad yet you have so much health that if your not fighting over match bb's most games you still finish 80 to 100k damage and you counter everything i mean everthing that is not overmatch you can just sit in key positions being a absolute pest and the enemy can do nothing, ive fought quite a few alaska's trying to take map control off me and its a fight they lose, alaska cant outdamage santanders heal that that is a big thing to consider since alaska is king of ranked.
she also gets good torps as well.
santander is a very misunderstood ship because her playstle is very different from other cruisers but she is a solid A due to radar and heal spam
Hector is dumpster fire level garbage.
It's kind of a mash up between Sejong and Neptune but has the combined weakness of both without strengths.
It eats cits like Neptune but only has a standard heal....even Sejongs heal is better. Hull is sort of fat for a CLAA so dodging is harder than Sejong or Neptune.
Firing arcs are hardly better than Sejong but less DPM, less fire chance, weird gun layout that cuts DPM even more.
Crawling smoke has a long cool down and finding an island is the only viable play between smokes.
The Hector could have possibly been a good cap ambusher against DDs but it got an 11th hour nerf and now only has a 3km dd self protection hydro.
Hector is probably the worst reward steel,Coal,RB ship in the game.
I would honestly take Taka over RIga
The love in for Riga takes on a almost religious connatation
Schröder is easy S tier, I have 75% win rate with it with over 120 games in it
