Your joy for life, your love of family, your simple methods of self care, and the appreciation for all of your blessings make you a real natural beauty. I do agree that genetics plays a part, but so do our choices as we go through life. I loved hearing how Moosie got his name, and seeing how your face lit up talking about your children and grands. 6 am, having coffee and watching you. I totally agree with you on Vaseline. I’ve always gotten small cysts on my eyes in the corners. That’s what the doctor used to heal afterwards. It doesn’t hurt to get into your eyes. I applied Vaseline as he directed daily, been seeing him for 20 years. It’s very healing. I have my own little container just for my eyes. Just let the negative comments go, they don’t know what they’re talking about. ❤️
As a relative newbie I am glad to have all the family info. I have 4 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren and counting. So glad to meet you. By the way, my favorite grandmother was also named Mary Ellen. She lived to be 100 years old.

What a great story.With my second grandson,I had a friend Mary who told my daughter," your mom just doesn't look like a grandma,you need to find another name for her, they tossed around a few names and then Mary said well the Greeks call their grandma 's Ya Ya, so it stuck, when my grandson starting talking , he didn't say YaYa he said IYAH!! Having been part of your channel since the pandemic and having attended so many family parties and health issues that have taken place in your family and with Moose over the years, I can say that I know everyone quite well, however it is always a pleasure to hear everything again. I found the comment about the facelift very unpleasant. My dear Mother passed away at the age of 86 and she had wonderful skin like yours and she washed her face with a good soap and blue Nivea every day. White hair that she combed like you Nanny. When she went out, friends were so amazed and it was not uncommon for them to say “Amélia you are so beautiful “. I think that’s where my great admiration for you Nanny came from because you are so similar to her in terms of natural beauty, personality, intrinsic strength and simplicity. Love you. Good morning Nanny and Moose. I cannot believe that you have had so many videos! I have been with you from day one so that means the same amount of comments that I have made…lol. You are the only CZcams channel that I watch except for a stitching one. You are real and show the viewer how to navigate the various issues of aging. I have tried to watch a couple of other ladies, however they are not my cup of tea. I am sorry that some of the comments that you receive are negative. You are simply voicing what works for you. I was as raised with “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. When I knew that I did not agree with a person or their channel did not bring me joy, I simple did not watch again. Thank you nanny for sharing about your family. My mother would be 100 this May. She isn’t here to share about being a mother so, I had my daughter watch this. She is expectng her second baby, a large 9lb girl. Her children will be 14 months apart like yours. She is also a teacher and now a stay at home mom! I am proud of her, she needs to hear happy stories from mothers that enjoyed being home. I did the same. She needed this she is due in two weeks and sooo ready, but scared because she will not be close to her family after the birth. Please share what it was like when you lived in Scotland with young children.

You're the best, and a BIG help and inspiration to legions of aging women❤ I learned about the MEDICINAL value of Vaseline on the face after I had a chemical peel and my plastic surgeon had me lather my face with Vaseline three times a day for six weeks following the procedure. He called it "slugging"! My face turned out as soft as a baby's tush. But even after my eyelid surgery and chemical peel, gotta say you look better than me...and good for YOU!

Hello Nanny , was looking forward to your video. I hope you had a nice time with your daughter and granddaughter, I appreciate all your advice on keeping the face hydrated through the products that you use. You have aged so beautifully and are a great example that we don't need plastic-surgery to age nicely.. I think many women are pressured and influenced by social media that aging beautifully has to involve surgery or other expensive treatments. I prefer aging naturally. My dad was the funniest person I have ever met. His humor sometimes leaned into sarcasm, but not always. He always told me that everybody had a bellybutton just like everybody had an opinion, but he was not always interested in seeing either one. I truly appreciate that more and more people are adopting the kindness movement. My girlfriends and I went to lunch at a popular restaurant yesterday. We were seated at a table directly behind an elderly couple and their service dog. They were delightful people and Buster was a perfect gentleman. Some lady made a fuss about the dog which caused the elderly couple to be asked to leave because that one woman insisted . I felt so sorry for the elderly lady who was handicapped. Kindness was called for. Was that a violation of law or just a really rude person insisting on having her way? My grandmother always taught me that if I could not be nice then I had to be quiet!
I think the law states that a service dog with a handicapped person cannot be thrown out of a restaurant as long as he is not disruptive or out of control, GG… the manager should have known that! You are so right…we need more kindness in this world..❤️
