- Join me, a type-rated SF50 pilot in real life, as I explore the new version 2 of the FlightFX SF50 Vision Jet in Microsoft Flight Simulator, including the Working Title G3000/Perspective Touch. I’ll talk about what’s new, what’s realistic, and what’s not, and how you can fly the Vision Jet using the same procedures we do in the real world.
If you haven’t yet, please watch my earlier video on the original version 1 of the Vision Jet, which covers in great deal the systems, procedures, and training for the SF50: • How to Fly the FlightF...
And also watch my video on how to perform a high-performance takeoff in the Vision Jet, which also covers how to use the ice protection system: • FlightFX Vision Jet: H...

I only listen to real pilots on how to fly an airplane now. Thank you! I hope Working title fixes those things you've pointed out.
Thank you for taking the time to do the video. Definitely flying this beauty on msfs2020
Just subscribed….awesome to get insight as to how real vision jet pilots setup and use the screens, and manage the AP and avionics! Thanks for producing these videos!
Been waiting for this. Thank you!!
Thanks for this. very comprehensive! I just acquired this plane.
Good as always from a Pro Pilot 👨✈️
Really informative, thank you!
Thanks for great video!
New subscriber. I learned a lot of little details I've been missing watching this. Thank you!
Excellent video, learnt a lot 😀
Thank you for the knowledge.
Thank you so much! Subbed
That was an excellent video! 😃However, I missed seeing the golf cart. 🤔
Yeah, that FBO at Lihue is always late with the carts, even when I call ahead!
Thank you for brilliant videos. Would you please make a video of how to execute go around procedure. Thank you!
I've just bought it today!
Wish I could say that about the real vision jet!👍
Great video! On that hold from the missed, I’m pretty sure the garmin 3,000 will elect do perform a teardrop. For whatever reason the g3000 loves teardrops and 45 degree entries to them…
Great video. Bravo Zulu !!!
Great Video! I learned a lot. The SF50 is my goto aircraft in MSFS. A pleasure to fly. I have a couple of questions.
First question: Sometimes when I go to flaps 100% I get a red CAS message about flaps icing. I'm assuming that I need to turn on anti-icing for the control surfaces. Would you please explain what this warning means and what a pilot should be doing in response?
Second question: Sometimes I get a CAS message that the stall speed is increased. What does that mean specifically (what triggers this message) and how should a pilot respond?
If you use airframe deice, the airplane will assume that you have visible ice on the wings, and will disallow you from landing with flaps 100, as flaps 100 is not approved when carrying ice. It will also increase the computed stall speed to provide an extra safety margin. If you exit icing conditions, tell the airplane by choosing IPS Stall Offset Reset from GTC2. This will reset both advisories.
So glad I found your channel! Your videos have been very informative and a joy to watch since I just recently got the vision jet! Just wanted to ask how did you get the flight plan to display underneath the map?
It’s under the Map settings, Inset Window.
Greate video Captain, one question, where is de knob to move course CDI? I will appreciate your comments.
When OBS is active, the GTC knob will adjust the course.
@@riscfuture Thanks very much for Your answer, now what's mean GTC knob an wuere is located? jeje
@@saulpilot The GTCs are the Garmin Touch Controllers
Great video. Is this addon only available thru the MSFS 2020 Market Place? If it's available anywhere else please let me know where?
Marketplace only
Hi, I’m not sure if you can help but I’ll ask just in case. On your left screen (I’m not sure if all the correct terminology) you have a green and blue artificial horizon that shows the runway as it does in some other aircraft. I’ve recently started learning the systems on the g2 (will be re watching this video a few times!) and mine only shows a blue and brown one with no runways. Do you have an add on or do I have a fault? I can’t seem to work out what the issue is. Really enjoyed hearing a real pilot talk through this and would like to work to being as smooth through the stay team as you are. Slightly envious you fly this thing for real!!
Replying to myself because I found it! It’s in PFD settings in case anyone else was wondering.
Great video! What application do you use to move around in the cockpit?
To move around I just have WASD assigned to camera translate
Thank you Tim, Great video. Can I ask what are you using for view navigation. It looks very fast and effective. Thanks.
Just TrackIR
Great video! Whats that wheel you used to check the ATIS? Is that an Add-on?

I fly both the VJ, Honda Jet, and the Longitude. The Longitude G5000 seems more complete, especially Vspeed calcs, AT on ground, AT landings, thrust reversers, nose wheel steering, speedbrakes, etc. The longitude performs very similar to the Airliners so I use it on VATSIM. The VJ, and VLJ's in particular, has perf issues trying to fly some STARS. IRL I think they get a lot of vectoring. The longitude still doesn't have a modeled pass cabin. Doesn't bother me. VJ is a Very Light Jet VLJ and Long is super-midsized so probably comparing apples and oranges. Obviously if you fly VJ IRL then it is great to have this aircraft. If you fly on VATSIM/Pilotedge then Longitude is probably a better choice. Just sayin'. I use 3x32" monitors with 2 x21" touchscreens/knobster using Air Manager. The Longitude has a complete AM panel. No mouse or Keyboard needed to fly IFR. If you have used it, please comment. IMO, this is the only way to fly on VATSIM. Not affiliated. Thanks for video.
The real Vision Jet doesn't have thrust reversers, nose wheel steering, speed brakes, or V-speeds, so you can't call the Longitude more "complete" because it has those things. The VJ in real life is meant to be a simple, accessible aircraft to fly, not a challenge.
Man do you know how can I move the course because in vor navigation is with the knob established in the upper part of the GTC and it says CRS but I’m not being able to mi e the course when flying GPS and activate OBS. Do you know if real life vision jet is equally?
Works in the real aircraft, but not in this sim.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the Flight FX SF50 Vision Jet on my Microsoft Flight Simulator. Does it come with MSFS 2020? Which version ? Or is it a separate add-on? Thanks. These are great videos.
I figured it out.
How do you get the Air Condition to work? I can't figure out how to get the AC Compressor or Condenser Fan to come on.
In the real aircraft, the A/C is automatic and not controlled by the pilot. Not sure if it’s implemented in the sim.
What do you use for the pop-up menu in the middle of the screen?
That's Flow by Parallel 42
How do you get the active flight plan shown as a vertical split on the map right screen?
It's under the Settings for the Map view.
@@riscfuture found, is "insert window".
What are you using to manipulate the camera? Tobii?
TrackIR
How do you get the toolbar as a radial wheel? Does it work in vr?
that is an addon called Flow by Parallel 42
Thanks! @@idttywlm
How did you goth the wheel where you chose weight at 2:40 ?

@@riscfuture Thank you!
Smart dude.
You didn't see any rain? 22:00 😉
how come mine has no charts when i load it?
Do you have a Navigraph account and have you linked it?
Apparently, there is autoland. Could you possibly go over that please.
As far as I know the auto land is an emergency procedure activated by pressing a single button over the head of the pilot. Not much to it
Yep, it's not implemented in the sim and for emergency use only. It finds the closest suitable airport considering winds, weather, and runway length, navigates there, and lands and comes to a stop.
Could you verify that there is a ‘tactile icing check’ which involves scooting seat back, opening door and physically touching the wing. Really? Seems a bit odd and potentially uncomfortable for passengers. Of course, knowing you’re ice-free might override those concerns!
Yep! The checklist requires that you actually touch the wing prior to takeoff if you had ice on the wings during preflight or taxi. Fortunately I’ve yet to depart from ground icing conditions, only airborne icing conditions, so I haven’t had to do it yet.
@@riscfuture Thank you! Was talking to a prospective VJ buyer who said "no way!". I really like your videos. Love flying the VJ in MSFS, and you help a lot.
Vnav is still a broken mess on this thing in msfs.
