The longer Maxwell's sentence is, the better chance she'll be murdered in prison. She knows too many details about the illegal activities of too many rich/connected people. If she gets a short sentence, she'll spill the beans on some lower level players to get out early. If she gets a long sentence, she'll have to cough up some big names.
It will be interesting to see if she's set up some kind of safeguard in case she gets murdered. Perhaps she's arranged to have packages of damning evidence sent to journalists in the event of her murder or "suicide". The trick with this safeguard is who does she trust to follow through with it? If her lawyers are willing to represent a serial sexual assaulter and sex trafficker, they're probably also likely to bury damning evidence for the right amount of cash.
I suspect she'll receive a short sentence (10-15 years) and will give up the names of small players to be out in seven or eight years.
If she gets a long sentence, she'd better move quick to cut a deal and reveal big names. Bill Clinton is 75 and Leslie Wexner is 84.

I side with the victims, but one thing I still don't understand is why did they repeatedly go back or stay within the system after the first encounter that they experienced as repulsive and involuntary. They had family, they had a home to go to, why did they go back again and again and many of them even recruited other underaged girls to undergo the same treatment. This part I don't understand.
