Marshal Sam Gerard.

    1:42, always loved how Kimble is just as clever as Gerard -- the moment where the cops grab him had us all laughing!

    I watched this movie for the first time last night. I LOVE how this scene was shot.
    First you assume they're going to bump right into each other because they're both taking the stairs. Only to reveal that Samuel is on the opposite set. The suspense when you think Dr Kimble just about sneaks past him, the chase happens. I loved it 😊

    the scene where it shows how Harrison walking fast while looking around nervously is how I look while going through the halls of my middle school sometimes

    What I love about The Fugitive it is that is so believable. Ypu would come across your target in that moment, & the corner of your eye caught it. The stair running makes it legit.

      About 5 yrs ago I went to visit friends in Chicago & asked another friend of mine to take me to a few shooting sites. He showed me where they flipped the semi on LaSalle St in The Dark Knight, the concourse under the Metra Station (where the Batpod zips thru, amazing how big they made it look onscreen!), Lower Wacker, the staircase from The Untouchables & Dearborn St, parade from Ferris Bueller. Kid-in-a-candy-store-type stuff!

    He didn't want to kill him. He must've known the door was bulletproof since he never aimed the opening and shot at his leg.

    • @jamierodgers1467
      @jamierodgers1467 Před 2 lety

      He most certainly wanted to kill him. If he knew the door was bullet proof, why would he waste bullets? At 2:12 you can see he was definitely going for the head/upper body, which made Richard fall over out of shock.

    • @darrenwalters9886
      @darrenwalters9886 Před 2 lety +1

      Of course he didn't kill him; no one in movies has good aim, especially if the target is an established actor with name credit in the title sequence, or whose likeness is used in promotional materials. If you are going to pay out serious bling for superstars, they better show up for most of the running time. Just as superstar NFL quarterbacks never seemed to get that nicked up. Star systems work.

    Kimble sure took the long way around. City hall is shaped like a lowercase t, with the ground floor stairs in the center. To his immediate right there was an exit twenty feet away, but he opted to swerve to the left, turn right, and then take the longer hallway.
