Got a set of 255 70r 18 r rims and tires off of a JK all 5 for 100 buck's..
Over half tread.. put on my 92 yj... they look great!
Bought a set of 2020 tires and rims for my 88 YJ and it looks good. They sound better and they do really good in the desert.
Great idea, true everybody ditches their stock rim for some aftermarket junk and then they sell the stock ones too cheap sounds like a plan.
Yeah and the wrangler tires measure out to almost 32 inches! The YJ came stock with tiny tires probably 28's. A 4 inch upgrade without changing too much is a win in my book

My 93 2.5 do the supercharger thing, is derpy but I like it
Nice jeep I own a 94 jeep wrangler s yj my issue is frame rust on both rear sides after that's done I want to put new bumpers front and rear 33's and a 50 inch lightbar Across the top

I bought 5 17 inch. Tires were fact with 300 miles for 200 dollars. Will they rub with stock suspension? they are basically 31.15 size
Mine had 18s with a 1 1/4 body lift and fender flares on, but I've also had 31.5 with 15 inch rim and no lift that didn't rub

Hahaha thank you had to add a little comedy into the mix and I've never owned an 88 but thats awesome YJs are my favorite
I have a 89 YJ and a 07JK. Those JK rims don't look right on the YJ. Two totally different eras.
So you have all these great minds that work for these car manufacturers to design and engineer these vehicles, then we come along and buy em, add a 4 inch lift , change the tiny unmanly wheels for something twice as big to fit tractor tires on, chop off the muffler and strait pipe it with some 6 inch steel tubes we can pick from the local hardware store, stick some vinyl flames on each side, and go around the neighborhood harassing our neighbors... does anyone appreciate these vehicles for that they were intended to be? Does anyone restore these to their factory condition?

I still have a 87 YJ that I bought brand new back in 1987. I want to keep it as original as possible
I just switched out 17 inch wheels back to 15 inch. All my future work will be stock as possible. Next job will be a stock front bumper
