Thanks ...There are eels in the Lake ,the lake is from a Sping,from a Brook ,and the Trout aren't biting at all ,From April 5th until May 12th I caught approx.30 Brook trout average size 9-10 " ,my biggest was a 13 " male with his mouth hooked( like the Salmon do for spawning)... I was super excited,,But now 1 week into vacation and 3 eels , is it because they are eating bugs and larvae etc, & in April it was spring and they were starving ???
I am not giving up ,I fish about 4-6 times a day ,with wee bites but nothing exciting 😔.....🎣🐟 I will check out the tips you sent me ,if any tips on the trout would be great 👍🏼

🎣 The best method is to turn the line around any spool three times, then tie your knot! ...
That way the line will not slip! 🎣

I don't bother. I just use a piece of tape. If you get spooled, you're not bringing that fish in anyway.
