Kirby and Dedede have my favorite relationship of all the Nintendo hero-villain pairs, mostly because Dedede's not even a villain these days. He's just Kirby's jerk neighbor.
That's pretty much always been the case. In the second Kirby game, Kirby's Adventure, Dedede wasn't even the actual bad guy. He did what he did to try to seal away the real villain and Kirby just went off on a tear anyway. Then he went and gave Kirby a little boost after Kirby kicked his ass, since Kirby refused to listen to reason.

I am A-OK with him being a jerk but I would like to see other media go to the heroic side of him since he is a hero and we rarely get to see much of that outside of the games. You can make him a funny jerk but still a good dude so I'd like to see that.

Now I'm imagining a mini-series (like a 6 episode series) with Snyder as Dedede. Probably a retelling of the Crystal Shards game, but in the POV of a camera used by Adeleine to chronicle the story. Each episode is on a different planet and each scene is either them goofing around, talking or arguing about how to cross a stage, panicking at a disaster or the boss showing up, etc. The ending is them returning home and parting ways, Adeleine is giving her final thoughts, and cuts to Kirby and Dedede fighting each other with her saying that deep down, they're still friends. Even having a small scene after the final credits showing the Halberd with Meta Knight looking out the window. After some silence, he says "Why do I get the feeling that I just missed out on something?" 😂
Dana Snyder absolutely slays as King Dedede. If there is a Kirby movie in the making, then Dana Snyder should definitely be the one who should voice King Dedede.

I think that there are big shoes to fill from the American dub's Don King impersonation. And yes, it IS a Don King impersonation because the same voice actor used the same exact voice for a Don King caricature in another 4kids dubbed show. But if anyone should be King Dedede, it HAS to be Dana. He needs that self important loser energy that Master Shake and Graballa the Hutt share. Someone needs to start some internet movement for that at once.
Now that I think about it, King Dedede being voiced by Master Shake sounds like the second best thing since Anime Dedede.
I was first hearing the Alchemist, but wow I don't think I've ever made the connection with Shake. Dude is a legend and a half.
