  • In this example, we create sparks from other particles. Its a good way to emit a seperate stream of particles from existing ones.

      I have a couple more coming soon, mostly particle focused until I change the subject.

    Wow! What a nice ride.
    Im always looking for quality content in Fusion, and it is pretty difficult to find. Did you ever think about releasing a compositing course using Fusion? Ill join straight away, and im pretty sure others too.
    Thanks for sharing :)

      Honestly, when I see fusion9 tutorials, I just do it in fusion 9 then copy paste the nodes over to 17.
      Fusion 9 is still accessible via blackmagic design's support page.
      That's how I got it.

    🤩 Thanks for this tutorial, all of them should be like this. Your voice is - also for me as non native English person - super clear and good understandable and the speed of tutorial is good to follow. Of course I subscribed. 🙌🖖 - You are running Fusion on a Linux machine, any hardware recommendations to get the max performance? Such as board, CPU, GPU, RAM, VRAM and monitor and last but not least: which Linux distribution?

      Hi, thanks for the feedback, much appreciate it. I run Fusion on Ubuntu (with i3 and xfce) and Manjaro for the most part. The tutorials are done on an older i7 and with a first gen titan x card. Fusion really really likes RAM, so get as much as you can. Fusion will happily fill up and use as much available ram as possible.

    Hi, I was wondering if you could try to make star wars blaster VFX like in the force awakens, and ILM said they created an animation for the blasters so could you try to make that? (And by animation I think they meant like a animation for the way it moves but you can change the seed to make it look different)
    Heres the video its near the end www.foundry.com/industries/film-television/star-wars and the videos at the bottom
    (And I know this is the foundry's page but fusion and nuke are kinda similar so yeah.)

      Interesting...looks quite fast...wondering if its the Titan, the i7 or Linux. I got a ryzen machine but not as smooth as yours.

    • @statixvfx1793
      @statixvfx1793  Před 6 lety

      Its previous gen Titan, and its running OpenGL for these effects so the Titan won't really speed things up that much. Have similar speeds on a old 960. The titan card only kicks in for things like OpenCL.

    Is all this really free in the app? sounds too good to be true for me. I just can't afford the monthy fees of adobe cc cloud and hitfilm pro price compared to adobe, is cheap but at the moment can't fork out £250 for that either. I've been using hitfilm express for editing but it is so finicky not allowing you to edit/animate in the editor. increases work time more than anything.
    I don't need the full power of after effects, just basic particles like dust floating in the air, rain, etc.

    • @statixvfx1793
      @statixvfx1793  Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah man, only thing you're missing out if you don't pay for the studio edition is the stereo, oflow, external scripting and 4k+ res. Its very very good value for (no) money.

    • @LutherTaylor
      @LutherTaylor Před 6 lety

      thank you very much for the reply! i'm going to download it now and have a play around. would you by any chance know of a video editor besides hitfilm express that can animate in the timeline? I tried openshot video editor but it constantly crashes. I literally just want to control the opacity to fade in/out cuts for storyboarding to work out timings. such a hassle in express as I have to bring it into the compositor.
      I'll have a look at your other videos to see what I can glean from you. thanks for taking the time to make these.
