    A good tip about the feet. Never thought about the third one! Now my bunker shots are much better.

    Unfortunately a lot of courses don't have nice fluffy copius sand. That's where I find it most challenging, when the ball is practically on the base of the bunker.

      Toe down, heel up, open the club face a little and it's just a longer chipping motion. It's the only bunker shot I can play! 😂 when there's sand and I have to get the clubhead under the ball I really struggle to get my head round it.

    I wouldn’t say that teaching the use of bounce is “out there at the moment”. It’s been sound golf instruction for a long, long time.

      If the ball is plugged or fried egg, remember what I said when you use the digging edge it will take more sand, making the club go under the ball. So simply play the club in a squarer position rather than dialling it open to one o’clock
