Have you ever been at Arctangent festival.Best experience I have ever had.Sick smaller bands, you can bring own beer into arena,campsites close to arena.My new favourite festival.Not sure if I fo to download this year but bought 4day ticket to AtG!!
MASS HYSTERIA playing just before Metallica at Hellfest! This is fantastic! Being a French living in the UK, (getting ready for my 5th Download which I think is the best place to be on the planet!) I can tell you that here you have French band Download should invite: la MASS HYSTERIA! Even if most people would understand sh*t of what they sing, I can tell you that they definitly desrve to play Download! I strongly recommend you guys to give them a go, they are massive, their music in amaizing and their message is beautiful!
Believe HellFest owns the land and all the infrastructure which then allows them to spend everything on the bands where as Download probably pay a huge fee for the site hire etc. Would be good to ask the Download booker if Brexit has had an impact on bands willing to play given all the extra costs they now incur on visas etc?
The problem with Download is the price! £320 for 5 days camping (3 days of music) Graspop £300 (4 days of music) + bigger bands… If I didn’t live close, there’s not a chance I’d go next year, embarrassingly poor lineup for the price compared to Europe
