    Nice video , very helpful, but can you explain to me the difference between verbs that start with "ver" for instance :trauen and vertrauen also sperren and versperren .... thanks alot :)

      killipedi A About.com has a great explanation of what a lot of the prefixes do to the verbs. You can find it here: german.about.com/library/verbs/blverb_pre01.htm
      Prefixes can change the meaning of a word completely. There are some rules for what each prefix does, but some of them are pretty random.

      This sucks don't spell them out if people are learning say them so they know how they sound

      I find it is better to spell them when they aren't a part of a complete word, but pronounce them when they are connected to a word. This indicates to the learner that the thing being spelled is not a complete word and should not be used on its own. This is why I do pronounce them later in the video, when they are in full words.

      Generally, yes. Some of them are a bit more nuanced or flexible than others.
