I rather have the customer meet me first a guess-estimate then a direct over the phone conversation. At least things with price negotiations are done at the Birds Eye view level. Customers can see the logic better with the detail process what they will expect to pay.
This is exactly what I tell my customers. That’s how I built my customer base. Simple is easy and profitable
