Good stuff brotha 💪🏽 My first rc was a nitro traxxas Rustler had no idea what I was doing lol was 11 years old. But kept me in the hobby. Now 31 got my kids into it Can't get enough 👊🏽
Thanks, yeah that’s good you passed it down to your kids, good bonding time, they will learn something and you will have more excuses to hit up the hobby shop!! 😆 thanks for watching brother🤙
i must say, i really enjoy watching your vids, your calm voice, and positive vibes when it comes to things and the hobby. i think your channel is great for beginners into the hobby as well as ppl who just want to watch a normal person having fun with their cars. thanks so much for what you do and keep it up!!
Love the Rustler, had a nitro years ago, before LiPo and brushless were a thing. Just recently got back into the hobby, bought the 4x4 VXL. This makes me want to dig out the nitro again and see if I can get it running, been a long time, but love the sound and smell!
Yeah you won’t be disappointed, it’s a lot of fun, a real scale experience! That loud engine, smoke coming out the pipe and the smell of Nitro in the air! 😁🏎️💨
Nitro is coming back these days, electric is just pathetic compared to the scream of a nitro motor. That said I love kits like the traxxas vxl's that can scream in their own way, but there's just no comparison to nitro, pure fun
The break in on any nitro is very important, the engine has to settle in by being broken in, it prolongs the life of your engine, in time you will probably need to replace it, for now if it runs, enjoy it👍
Break in is very important for nitro engines because they use a tapered sleeve rather than piston rings. During the break in process you are creating a near perfect fitment between the piston and sleeve. This is why in a new engine it's super hard to turn the engine over when cold. You may even experience the piston getting stuck at the top if you forget to put it at botten dead center while cooling. If you skip break in and go full race rune right away you will create a looser fitment. It will run fine for now and probably for a few gallons but a non broken in engine will be harder to tune and have a shorter lifespan.
Thanks, yeah I still have the nitro slash,it stills runs, and I love it!! I plan running it in a future video! I just wanted to make a video for those who may be new to this side of the hobby such as myself and suggest the rustler because it’s so beginner friendly!🤙
@@Apollo-oc7hk well technically they both are it’s just the rustler to me is more basic and not as fast as the slash, easier to start, keeping a beginner in mind but they are both good first nitros
Man i love seeing folks try out the nitro side of the hobby. Its so much fun. I enjoy the skill and attention it takes to run them.
Yeah it’s almost like working on a real car lol, definitely more hands on to keep them running🤙
Yeah you have the perfect yard to make a track !!! I wish I had a big back yard I would definitely make a track !!!😁😁😁
Yeah I’ve been thinking about it! Just haven’t had the free time to do it yet
Looks fun 😁 but I'm guessing your T-Maxx will be even more fun 🙂

Love the vid👍,What happened to your nitro slash you haven’t posted a video on that for a while, do you still like it and does it still run?
O yeah! I still have it! And it’s still up and running! I may do a speed test soon, if I can keep it on all fours lol
Mine from 1998 first year the chassis was brown anodized back then
Nice, I just got into nitro about 5 months ago, been running electric for years, nitro is another animal! I like it!🤙
Still have it and it runs I put a 3.3 in it and high speed gears
Nice, I bet it’s a little rocket now!!🚀
