    What the best way to clean residue off after dipping so it's ready for airbrushing or clear?

  • @WmHarkins
    @WmHarkins Před 4 lety +2

    I wanted to ask if dipping a Ops Core fast bump helmet is any different then dipping that Team Wendy helmet? Since the fast helmet has the built in shroud I've seen many of them in Multicam where it's not covered correctly or almost not at all? Also if the film covers the helmet holes when should the film be removed from the holes? Right away or before the clear coat? Im getting ready to dip my first ops core fast helmet and would love to get your advice!Thanks

    • @WmHarkins
      @WmHarkins Před 4 lety

      I'm talking about the built in shroud not being covered correctly and i dont want that

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Před 4 lety

      Sometimes because of the way the parts are dipped, they cannot go into every groove correctly or they need to be dipped a different way to make the film go into the recessed areas that you are talking about with the multicam pattern. Most of the time you will not remove any film from the holes because the film does not add any thickness to the part. The only thickness will be your paint, primer and clear coat that you apply.

    Do you know where I could buy a cheap activator for the Hydro dip... i’m not trying to spend much more than $10 on it?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Před 5 lety

      I dont think there is anybody out there that sells activator for that cheap. This is also the cost of doing business and if you want something to work right most of the time there will be a small premium to pay or sometimes that product is just that expensive because of the materials that it takes to make it.
