At 1:37 you say that the length of the cut relief should be bigger than the radius of the bend.
Lets say i was to bend 3mm thick steel at an angle of 90 degrees, should L be longer than 90mm?
Or how do i calculate this since L is in mm and the bend is measured in radius?

Radius is a value in mm not degrees. For a 3mm steel bend radius would mostly be between 3 and 5 mm unless you bend specifically with BIG RADIUS tools. Bend radius should be equal or bigger than the thickness of material. See 0:50
