I think some people under-estimate just how hot a car can get in the sunshine. I don't know the details of this particular case but there's plenty of cases where drugs or alcohol was involved with a parent's neglect. Older people such as a grandmother or grandfather that have undiagnosed eary stages of dementia have also left children in cars with tragic consequences. Those are the ones I feel the worst for, they would never have done it if they weren't suffering from a terrible disease that nobody had yet realized they had.
The parents should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This is pure child neglect and child endangerment leading to the death of a child. Five years minimum in prison.
What I don't understand is that a baby is in the car for hours and the parents/caregivers don't notice that the child isn't in the house. Do they forget altogether that they even have a child? Since this is occurring so frequently, I guess it's not that hard for a parent to forget to take the baby our of the car, but not thinking of the baby for hours is what I don't understand.
My dauther is 10 yrs old and I don't even leave her in the car period! This is a baby they left they have a soul. Why have kids and don't take care of them !!! Are you on drugs!!! Even an adult can suffocate!
These 2 male parents didn't care about the baby they adopted at all. They adopted her simply to accessorize their lives much like jewelry, clothes, or other objects. Except they actually took better care of those items and didn't leave them in their car for hours. There's no excuse for this. They need to face prosecution for MANSLAUGHTER
I work with patients who have lost children to tragedies like this…most new parents are not settled into a routine of having a newborn and simply forget about their child. So many factors play into situations like this…not enough sleep, working, relationship issues, single parenting.
Regardless of reason it is STILL ILLEGAL to leave a new baby in a car!! ''Parents just forgetting about their babies coz of other bla bla circumstances'' is not an excuse...Especially in the eyes of the law... Nobody cares about the parents tragic life story when they have a responsibility of caring for their new baby! Bet.... If they have so many life issues then they should not be engaging in segx acts coz the outcome could be a baby to care for & raise up! No excuse & it's sad. :/
