- It's day 3 of our Epic Peru adventure with Wandering Wheels guiding company, and despite waking up with the stomach bug, we have a HUGE day of riding planned with over 10,000 feet of descending in a wide variety of zones and into some serious JANK along the way!!
Check out Wandering Wheels Guided MTB adventures here! www.wanderingwheels.ca/index

Keep the cultural and environmental factoids coming! I find them interesting and they are additional enticements beyond the epic single tracks to add locales to bucket list.
I agree 👍🏼. Those cultural facts are very much appreciated.
Kenti as a guide is awesome. Love all the local history. Great job from all you guys
Damn Alex! I'm so happy for you that you're getting to experience this and share it in the way that only you know how! Looking forward to the next one. Hope that your stomach gets better. LFRHGS!
The high clouds, the green valley and the rural setting at 9:10 is perfect. Dream vacation.
Just landed back in the USA from the January Wandering Wheels Perú trip. Came here to say we did the Maras Avalanche race before the actual trip started and SIX of us podiumed! Truly an experience of a lifetime for me!
Such a sick trip! So cool to see such different climates on each run. And I love the cultural education parts. Can’t wait for Machu Pichu!!
being afraid of heights your videos give me pucker butt, thats how awesome real they are. Great stuff bro!
I love the little history lessons sprinkled throughout this series
I actually remember a lot of this trail from when Brian rode them last year. You killed it dude!
Over the last couple of years I've watched a few CZcamsrs visit Peru. Yourself and Brian on bikes and Harald Baldr and Bald & Bankrupt via the backpacking and bus routes. All of you have shown Peru to be an amazing country, full of entertainment and great people. Thanks for giving the likes of me a chance to see a country we'll never get the chance to visit personally! 👍🏻
As others have said Alexander....YES, please keep including the cultural info and other aspects you're experiencing. Love bikes...and your the videos of your riding are beyond awesome...but that extra info helps round out the content. Thx for bringing us along!!!
Something about seeing grave markers near the trail head that tells me I'm in over my head.
Great riding Alex. And the guy in front was really really shredding. But great riding both, especially seeing the condition you were in !!! One of the best vids here on the channel!
YES best thing this sunday morning is this upload! Watching now!
Bro you will not believe this day 🤯
@@The_Sampler What an amazing day. Totally lost the gopro effect in several places. I almost had a heart attack a few times lmao. What a great day and a great video! Amazing work with the editing.
Alex!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s ride
Loving the series man!!! As a fellow MTBiker and Peruvian living in the US, definitely have to make this trip in the coming years haha enjoy!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Man, brilliant. Brings back memories, rode some of these trails and stayed in these places in 2011, best riding ever.
This trip looks rad! Hope one day I can make it work!
Absolutely amazing. Guess the guinea pig didn't sit well in the tummy? Get better. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Mann I wanna take this trip so baaad my man, Thanks for the vids keep em coming!
I knew that Bridge was familiar! I saw it in the Inka Avalanche Run of Killian Bron! Epic that you got to ride it, you're living the absolute dream!
Your life brother. Livin the dream. Thank you Alex for taking us with you🤙🏻
This has been absolutely amazing! Can't wait for more.
Great video. Love the riding and love the cultural insights. Stay stoked Alex! 🤟🏻
Looks amazing!
Oh my word that looked good!!!
Maan! What an adventure! Its so on my bucket list after following the first 3 days! Riding over there is pretty dicey, adding diarrea on top of it.. 🤣
Soooo good, man...excellent ridin'.
You do such a great job with the series format! Peru looks amazing and the culture pieces are greatly appreciated! Keep the stoke alive!!!
Love the cultural tidbits Alex, keep em coming!
So sick! I would love to do a Peru trip like that some day!
The cultural stuff is interesting, adds a bit of local flavor, keep it coming.
I'd love to do this trip one day. Crashing out would be my concern, as I sit at home nursing a ruptured spleen from a bike park crash 1.5 weeks ago.
epic ride!
deymmmm the view is to live for.
One day, one day!🤙🏾💯🔥🔥🔥. What a beautiful country. Great riding Alex. That is my type of trails. 💪🏾
This trip has been epic. The riding, the editing, the stoke and yes we love seeing the cultural part of your trips. After watching you and BK, if my skills were good enough, this would be the trip I'd take. 🤙
loved the video
Amazing epik video liket
Sick trails!
I am so happy for your best day ever ride. No terminal cliff exit good! enjoy. 10k decent. I would be in the morgue.
we are going to peru next fall to bikepack/mtb. your vids are money. i live in golden and this is the kind of riding were into. cant wait
Come Alex! You've ridden with Tommy and his crew in So Cal. You know what loose can be like.
Not going to lie, that "long way down" view of the valley gave me the heebie-jeebies. Amazing! 2:40
Beautiful area to ride buddy 👍❤💯😊
Funny thing is chicha means something totally different in Puerto Rico and somewhat a slang word so when you hear it at 15:20 and insert that meaning it is hilarious! All fun aside, keep the culture education coming because we all like chicha too. 😂😂😂😂
Must be talking about the " Luge" in so Cal ? I love that trail.
Chinchero is fast and loose, that left turn is scary. 🔥
Thanks!
Yoooo thank you my man!! Stoked you are enjoying the vids so much
You should deff come to Chile, its a wild ride too bud. Lots of places to enjoy singletrack and also bikepark, the community here is very big and you will find guidance wherever you go. Hit me up if you need some info 🤟
Chile should be on every MTB rider's bucket list of places to ride.
Saludos desde lima 😊🎉
bro i miss trails like this 😭
looks hella fun though!
The amount of free riding available on these trails is just so incredible
This series is so good omg! I spoke to Kinti already on IG and we're planning a boys trip in September with him. I'm even thinking of customizing something similar here in Panama, because we've got similar terrain but unique views as well. Keep 'em coming bro, this is so enjoyable down to the last second 🙌🏼
Alex, you have open permission to kidnap me at any point for these epics.
so sick
when I wanted to start mountain biking this is what I meant!!!! sadly there's only xc where I live :c
Great riding! (even with a gastric crisis) ;-)
I would want to see him take kinti to whistler
So weird to ride is so many loose rocks right? I completely lost control over there in the Sacred Valley and almost died.. I didn't have my bike, used to ride a large Santa Cruz Nomad MX and I had a medium Kona on 27.5... Freaked me out the entire day. :) I also really struggled on my second descent of the day with my air... we started at 4800m in the snow... I was exhausted from the first ride :) Not a pro like you but I ride often... but Peru completed destroyed me mouahaha even if honestly, it was the best ride of my life! But I did 42k ( 2 x 26km descent) and I was done for the day :)
Just realized I did the same TRAIL you did starting at 11m it was freaking awesome :)
In Lima, not the gnar that you’re getting but still awesome for this gringo!
Have you ever been to the UK? We have some awesome trails here
Total mock chicken 🤟🏼
how do you mount your gopro to your helmet? I also have a TLD stage. it also seems like a better angle than a chest mount.
Hi how many sets of brakepads did use on the trip and how many bolt checks did you do
Why don't you feel general stress after a ride like this.
Because for most of the day your brain has been 110% hyper focused on don't die mode.
So no time for other thoughts.
What were the Temps like?
Hello, say hi to Seth the next time u see him. Stay Sendy🤙🤙🤙
are you guys running double down or DH tires in the rear?
Can’t speak for Alex, but I was running Schwalbe Super Trail (somewhere between Maxxis DD and Exo+) and had no issues. I think the only flat tire the group had was from a 3” nail!
Alex ! What’s the specs of your bike ?
What is the name of the third trail?
The one after lunch
Is that “la Maxima”?
That trail after lunch is called Otherside. They are going to ride La Maxima Recargada in a later episode. Both are sick trails, and LMR gets close to 15k feet elevation.
I'm sold, except....do you know if hospitals are near/good and helivac is possible if you get hurt?
Sunday coffee sip and live by curiously thru Alex. Epic day. PS if you keep speaking Spanish you'll find a girl in no time.
*vicariously
Bi-curious is something different!
@@GHinWI reason number 578 why not to use text to talk when English is not your native language lol.
So, did you poop at 15k? 😮😊
Love the vids and story telling!
You think you could have done this trip on your bike with less travel? haha
Mas coca
🤣🤣🤣
This looks like a place where you could live for a year and not yet master all the techniques needed, and not hit all the different trails in the country.
