My alligator snappers were the size of yours approx 9yrs ago. Currently in a 300 gal rubbermaid stock tank. One tip before they get bigger. Make sure your heating element sensor is not reachable. I hide all the heating components under a plastic milk crate with a large piece of Malaysian driftwood on top. Snappers will chomp on your sensors as they are attracted to the voltage. Potentially electrocuting themselves and shock the tank. RIP Mrs. Bowser, Mr. Bowser is still with us however. Also, i recommend putting epoxy on the bottom of the tank with a heavy coating of sand to naturally file down their nails.

This is amazing! I have one suggestion though. Maybe you should try and put 1 glass belly guppy into the tank with the store bought guppies to see if any offspring are a mix of both!
Hey I have a question about my goldfish that has swim bladder issues. I did a water change and added aquarium salt to the tank, can I still do epsom salt baths?
