This is very Symphony X. It sounds great, but I'm also glad they found more of their own style down the road.

Man! The song Hope, at 8:44. Even if the rest of the album was terrible, it'd get a 10/10 for this one song.

Actually, Zaher Zorgati was not in the band when Myrath recorded Hope. The lead singer in this album is Elyes Bouchoucha (and we can hear the difference from the next albums with Zorgati). Personally I like both as singers: this album is much more prog metal to me and it's heavily inspired by Symphony X music...and so are the vocals.
From Desert Call and the arrival of Zorgati the band found its own style

Elyes Bouchoucha is fired from Myrath, I hope he will form a new prog band. Nobody knows the reasons behind Myrath's decision, I am sad for that.

True for this album, while the other ones are a little more one the simple side of composition and harmonies imho, not to compare with SX and DT. This album really nails it though :)

Yeah for me at least the next two albums were a little too commercial/cheesy if you know what I mean. This one is up there with with some of my favourite albums

Ce merveilleux groupe me rend très fier de mes origines : franco-arabes et arabo-françaises. Voilà où se trouve ma belle et vraie culture, ma patrie, mon pays, ma maison. Quant à vous, les fashos (les extrémistes et fanatiques : catholiques, juifs et musulmans), je n'ai que quatre mots à vous dire : "en avant la musique !"

The guitar + keyboard solo in Hope (at 12:50) is so similar to Smoke and Mirrors one by Symphony X, especially the keyboard solos. Excellent album

Such a talent keys player who took vocals on this excellent album.He is as good as Zaher Zorgati.No doubt.

son chant a d'ailleurs beaucoup contribué à leur surnom de Symphony X oriental à l'époque de ce premier opus, ce qui n'est plus vraiment d'actualité tant leur style a évolué

This is to all, who believe in the ONE living GOD:

He´s full of anger and justified his rage in all so many ways!
He tried so hard to convince the politicians, the priests and all the servants of the power

but they kept on refusing...
So, he arragend his court of judgement, the judgement of apocalypse

I bought this album right away after hearing it here, and good thing I acted quickly; it's no longer available (at Amazon, at least). I got Shehili and Legacy later, and will also be getting the other two studio albums, but this one's still my favorite of theirs. People talk about the title track, but it's the last two -- "All My Fears" and "My Inner War" -- that really convinced me that I *needed* this album.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BRINGING US THIS WONDERFUL SOUND!!! I'VE JUST FOUND MYRATH AND I'M IN LOVE WITH THEM!!!

That's strange. I'd be super-proud of having made this! Allmusic doesn't list this album in their discography, either, which is a shame. I only happened to stumble upon it because of the description here -- I wondered what "oriental progressive metal" would sound like, and it ended up being one of my best "shot in the dark" clicks ever.
It's strange that Myrath fired Elyes Bouchoucha.

I am no longer with Myrath, and the majority of you good people would have figured that out by now.
I could, of course, go down the PR media stunts route of bands announcements and say that "we had our artistic differences" or that "I wish to pursue my individual path creatively", all of which might as well be true, but not entirely; Two years ago, it was decided that Myrath would be better off without me, and my departure was incremental to the band's future and success.
It took me a while to wrap my head, and heart, around it, Myrath was my life, after all, a teenage dream I pursued 21 years ago and nourished with my blood & soul ever since.
And so, I spent the last 2 years in introspection, gently processing the the fadeout of that dream, a justly time to bid farewell to a 21 years old life journey, the journey that shaped me and my music up until now, but I finally did, and I am now at peace, content in wishing the utmost success for the band in continuing their journey.
My music lives on through you, no matter my whereabouts, and I am so much looking forward to sharing all my creations with you as soon as I am released from "the publishing contract", until that time, I am ever present in your unconditional love & support.
Now that we've got all that out of the way, along with COVID 19! Let's get back to life, shall we?

The band decided to separate from Elyes.
This kind of decision cannot and should not be taken lightly.
We've weighed the pros and cons thousands of times.
We did this for months to make sure we made the right decision for the band and especially the fans, removing any kind of personal matters and ego driven naughtiness.
Myrath is much more than musicians who meet to play on stage.
Myrath is as much a family as crazy fellows who made the bet to go a long way together.
With a view to maintaining these strong links, which allow the members to compose the music, to get along, to face the difficulties, to be welded in success as in failure, we decided it would be the best to make this choice.
We will make no value judgment here, and are too modest to give the details of what happened behind the scene.
