Very nice. I think you can also use a pencil eraser or a piece of bicycle inner tube rolled up. Perhaps a screw thread in the brass makes inserting easier. Thank you for the inspiration.
Some concrete anchors are thin walled with screw thread already inside.

This is a very clever idea, but it is a more complicated variation of kratex. Have you used kratex before? It comes in many different profiles, but the most popular one is a finger shape.
