My wife was just in a very bad collision in her 2018 Rav4 2 nights ago. This system deploys Airbags moments before impact, they are kind of soft to. She didn't get friction burn. She was cocooned in and protected instantly.
We are getting another Rav4, this vehicle saved her life.

Thanks for the tutorial. On the 2018 RAV4 (FWD LE), I can't adjust the height of the trunk opening and cruise control shows the green icon and it says "radar ready" only, but i can't adjust the speed. Stay safe !
