Wait till its painted 😉, thanks dude yeah we quite like the cobra with the single silencer sounds decent.
@@TwoSpanners don’t make it to nice otherwise I will getting u to paint mine 😂😂 and yea sounds spot on 👍🏻👍🏻
Looking sweet bro
Thank you appreciate you tuning in 👍👍
Did your struts come with a bit of plastic inbetween the two different springs? Is that to protect them from damage during transport or does that stay on?
Sorry only just seen this I have left the plastic bit in between the 2 springs I hope this helps
Im having this kit fitted on Friday. Does it require tracking? The garage whos fitting mine says it needs tracking afterwards. And do you think £320 sounds fair for fitting?
Ps, my cobra exhaust is currently being fabricated as we speak
£320 drive it down to me there taken the piss it’s a 3hour job at most and yes tracking would be advised and tbh I found the rear springs awful and to soft but then again my car is heavily modified
Hey 2 spanners! Great content on the VXR! I am planning to get a coilover kit for my 2012 VXR (OPC as they call them here in the Netherlands). But I am looking to get the KW v1 kit instead of a cheaper set like the Stance+. Seeing your comments, I am no longer in doubt of spending more to get a high quality coilover kit! I am wondering about the drop links though; it doesn't seem that they are included in the KW kit. Can I use the OEM droplinks or do I need custom ones? (and if so, why exactly? Are they shorter or more sturdy or something?). Greetz from Holland ❤
Hi sorry about the delay. You can usually get away with standard links down to about 30mm drop, any more than that and they are at to much angle and knock against other components. I would recommend getting some adjustable links to avoid this and for peace of mind
@@TwoSpanners thanks a lot for the feedback! Do you perhaps have a link or website for me where I can get those adjustable droplinks for my corsa d?
@@timshirleysmeets8841 I don’t mate I would just Google corsa adjustable drop links if I’m honest 🤣
Where did you get your top mounts from im eyeing up the same kit for mine but cannot find any uprated mounts
my topmounts arnt uprated mate they where just new
@@TwoSpanners oh no drama thanks
@@joshmansfield1666 i dont think they do uprated top mounts as i tryed all my supplyers so as i say i just brought brand new ones and they have been fine
Had these fitted 6 months now but have a problem. On the rear adjusters they are mounted to the top hole with a bolt having now removed the rear wheels these mounts are holding water due to bolt stopping draining of water . Have you come across this and have any fixes for this ?
You could drill a small whole next to the bolt which would allow the water to drain out ? I have not drove my about them them atm as I’m still working on the car :)
@@TwoSpanners would that not maybe fail an mot as weakening the structure even thought it would be ok it could be classed as such. I think it's a design flaw even a hole at side of washers the bolts are constant under salty water causing rot.
@@mark-ee3hc no it would have to have be rotten to fail a mot so I would personally drill a small hole and then put wax oil into the mount so it dosnt go rotten inside
Como es la calidad de estos coilovers??? Has tenido algun problema despues de la instalación??? Yo tuve la marca ta technix y no me gustaron mucho por la dureza de la suspensión
They are terrible tbf we wouldn't fit them again. Tried them on a mini as well and they were terrible
yes there where awful tbh
When I installed these recently on the rears I didn't put the rubber on the top of the spring mounts, does the rubber have to be used?
hello we cut the rubber in half so that it isnt metal on metal as some times you can get a knocking sound from the back, its just how we felt like doing it. :D
@@TwoSpanners so it's not a must? Just got worried coz I didn't do it 😂
@@mikelloydx33 its not a must lol
What drop links did u use or was it in the kit
There was a set that came with the coilovers but if im honest we do not recommend these coilovers.
What hight did you set the coilovers too for that height? just got a set that im about to fit
It just depends on you and your preference tbh I wouldn’t tell anyone to buy them after running them there awful springs are to soft and just sinks over time I have mine maxed and there’s hardly any clearance if I’m honest
Cheers for reply, will get them measured up before i install, then once installed take it from there. I have just ordered a pair of the shorter link arms to replace the standards too@@TwoSpanners
Hey my stock suspension is fully gone at this point. Bounces around like a trampline. £900 for the Bilstein is quite a lot but i need a fix ASAP. Is it a decent fix for a couple years?
no they are terrible, will probably bounce around just as much lol
Does this kit not come with top mounts
No bud had to buy separately
@@TwoSpanners Hey could recommend top mounts to view?
@@kieyskieys sure?
