Ah, exactly what I’ve been waiting for, thank you for this Posido! It’s interesting to hear about your issues with the performaxe. It’s a shame that it doesn’t work on anything but your jazz bass. I love the look of your posture with it. I think I will send an e-mail to the inventor as you suggest. I’m inclined to try it as I only have 2 basses and predominantly play my jazz bass, but it’s not cheap!

Hi Cicero Tully, yeah definitely reach out to the inventor of the Performaxe about it. I agree, it's pricey. I really thought it would work with my other basses, but was bummed that it didn't. And I tried many different angles too. Thanks for watching Cicero! Good luck in your quest for something that'll work with the basses that you have!

@@PosidoVega sorry to bother you, but I'm really curious about the Performaxe. Did you ever try to use it with your bass on your left leg? I'm just trying to understand if it would works. Thanks in advance. Cheers

@@TheRico1186 it's no bother at all. i happen to be practicing and using the Performaxe on my Fender Jazz bass right now. I put it on my left leg (classical style). It works (it's not unstable), but i feel I still need to have my leg raised with a foot rest of some sort. Keep in mind, the Performaxe only has worked for my Fender Jazz bass. It doesn't work for any of my other basses that have a shorter lower horn (Reverend Decision 4-string and Modulus Quantum 5-string). If you're seriously considering it, I recommend emailing the creator your specs and for this thoughts if he thinks it will work for your bass. He's very responsive and open to answering questions. I'm not sure where you're located, butI'm in the USA, so I asked him a bunch of questions before I took the plunge to give this a try, because the Performaxe ships from Europe. Hope this helps!

I've been playing for 30 years, and I can say the same. Thing is, you and I have just never owned a bass that beck dives - there are certain brands/models that dive, the most well known example may be the Gibson Thunderbird Thunderbird, a bass with a unique shape, played by Rex Brown of Pantera and Gene Simmons of Kiss.

Imagine buying a Fender and it not being balanced properly. Always try before you buy, a fender should be balanced perfectly, if not you got a dud. That neck dive was extreme and totally unacceptable. That contraption looked cheap and the balance was clearly unstable. Sitting on the strap also is a bad idea you'll eventually move in way that make he bass drop. Again try before you buy, I have a 1996 P Bass that is Perfectly balanced, don't buy a bad bass, before QC they should match the body and neck, a Fender USA, Fujigen era should cone balanced if not don't buy. Mex or any totally factory bass is a gamble, don't just buy online, they will send you the bad ones, the good ones go to stores where people try in person.
