That sucks! That doesn't look like normal wear and tear. Did you ever get it fixed? What caused this problem? It looks like something came loose. It looks like the free body hub was not attached to the hub properly.
Got it fixed under warranty. They didn't cover labour costs. I did have a new sprocket put on a while before it went. Wouldn't be surprised it it was not done properly.But they would never say so.
@@14TacomaDR that's a good probability that there was an issue with the prior service method. Fortunately, I'm able to do all my repairs myself. About a year ago the price for these cassettes was very expensive. I had to pay at least 120 u.s. dollars to replace one, but what's amazing, I was able to buy a few of these in November 2022 for about $35 on Amazon. I think the price dropped way down after the shortage went away and possibly they had excess inventory. Perhaps because everybody went back to work and didn't want to get bike parts anymore. I was paying $80 before covid.
