I put the B16's on my F30 about a year ago. Completely transformed the car. Best upgrade I have done. This along with a Mperformance LSD made a huge improvement.
I’ve been told by my mechanic that coilovers are way harsh for daily driving.. agree or disagree? He’s recommending b6 dampers and Eibach pro kit

I have the same coil kit, hated how the button did not blend with the interior and looked out of place. So i ended up buying a new module that has the parking sensors button below the sport and eco, since my car does not have parking sensors i used that button and replaced the parking sensor button cap with a M adaptive suspension button cap from an f80. Works and looks like factory. Nice thing about the parking sensor button is that it also has a led underneath it and it works exactly like the Bilstein button.
I've already got this set up on my 335d X Drive. I have the non adaptive kit that you mentioned in the video. That being said, it is by far the best improvement I have made! I would recommend fitting better anti roll bars. I went for the H&R kit and the car is simply superb. Ive had friends compare it to an M3/M4 in driveability now. Not sure whether its deserves such an accolade, but going from the factory SE suspension to Bilstein B16s is night and day! Enjoy!

Brian - you have to load the suspension before you torque the bolts on the axle carrier and shock absorber in the rear.

BMW always recommends replacing the torque to yield aluminum bolts. They will be stretched from the original torqueing.
Hey Bryan. Nice videos as always. Just tip when checking ride height. The way to measure it is to measure from the bottom of the fender to the bottom edge of the wheel rim, ie the side closer to the floor.

If your struts are still in good working order. You will need to compress them in place for removal. This makes removing them SOOO much easier!! Once you remove the strut, (still compressed) you can then easily remove the top hat piece.

Why keep the backseat with a cage? To return it to original spec when needed?

I'm torn with all the suspension kits out there. I was going to go Dinan coils, but that's out the window. I don't want my car slammed. I still want to be able to use it as daily and, quite frankly, I'm not a fan of cars that sit too low. I'd also prefer to maintain the native EDC functionality. Is there anything out there that meets that criteria? I have yet to come across something worth it. 2015 335i RWD w/ M Sports Package, btw.
I bought my M4 used and it does not have the adaptive suspension button... Is it possible to have these... and route the button to where the adaptive suspension button would be?
Hey Bryan, my friend offered me an ST Spring for F30, and I looked over on several forums and found out that it’s unhealthy for the car’s shock to install a sport spring without changing the stock shock. So should I just save up for coilovers instead? Thanks a lot!
Don’t suppose you would know if front active dampers from an xdrive f30 will work on a rwd f31. I know the xdrive damper is shorter to clear the drive shaft, but apart from that, are the damping rates and ride height same. Reason I ask is I’ve a rwd with a leaky damper, and I have access to some from an xdrive f30

you should load the suspension for the rear when you torque down the big bolts. front doesn't need to be loaded since everything disassembled doesn't have a bushing. just my .02c

I thought my F10 535i M-Sport used these simple sport shocks like other M-Sport bmw videos showing so but after removing my rear tires i realized my shocks are way different than stock or the $200 Belinstein shocks from this video! Just one damn shock for my M-Sport cost an arm and a leg $600 just for ONE! WHY???? Because the previous owner decided to option for the best expensive shocks bmw can put in these cars and those are the EDC shocks that adjust instantly on a push of a button from softer to very stiff hence why u can have 20" killer rims on the F10 with very minimal scraping when hitting hard bumps! I guess they r worth it and no need of them adjustment coils since i only have about 1 inch of space from tire to edge of fender and my tire rims are perfect wide enough that they don't need spacers!

you said 25" Front Fender... any issues with front axles? ... I lowered mine to 25-3/4" and I'm worried about my axles.. yes I had a 4 wheel alignment... your response would be greatly appreciated...

with coilovers being stiffer, do other parts of the car need to be reinforced / upgraded to prevent failure of other suspension parts? (ie. bushings, axle, end links, sway bar?)
no, they are not that stiff everything else will be fine. Nice coilovers come with the correct spring rates to make the car drive better.

Hey man. Long time subscriber. I have a different issue. My passenger tail lights brake and blinkers went off. I move my whole tail lights bulbs socket every works fine. I tried to upgrade to led lights. Don't know if I did a short. I checked everything connector ets no burnouts. My ground is fine just my positive blinkler and lamps. My daylights rear are ok. Help me. Don't know if light malfunction error shut current yo my lights. Any suggestions. No money to take to dealer. Thanks

My apologies if this is covered in the video but, How does this affect the factory suspension settings options(eco,comfort,sport,sport+)? Does the Bilstein controller replace the factory controller for those suspension options?? Like if you have the car in comfort mode through BMW settings, and you switch the Bilstein controller to sport, does it change the suspension still? I hope that question makes sense.
No this particular kit doesn't integrate with the BMW EDC system. You will need an extra kit that fools the built in system to think you still have the stock suspension and this new setup will have its own controller. Bilstein does make a set-up that does work with the factory system though it's very pricey.

I have done kw v1 on a 08 335xi and kw v3 on the front end only for a 2004 cobra. Both times i was extremely impressed! However, the 04 Cobra had bilstein factory dampeners. I think for my F30 330 xdrive ill go with the bilstein.

I just bought them for my 328d. Just arrived and now in my garage. Plan on installing this weekend if my new top hats and spring seats come in. I prefer not to disassemble the OEM struts in case 1) I need to send them out to be revalves in the future and 2) if I need to return for any reason

Hi, I've just bought a 2013 330d m sport. Is it normal for it to feel rather odd at the back when going over bumps? Almost like it wiggles a bit? The cars been checked over and given the all clear.

No, that’s usually a bad component of the rear suspension that causes wiggle.

Hey where can I go to get this done. I live in NY and my suspension is complete garbage. I've been to 5 different shops and went through 2 different types of coilovers. I had st coilovers and scale inovation. And my suspension is garbage. I can't find a decent mechanic that can look at my car and fix it with actual measurementsand torque everything to apec.. Every mechanic I go to is all in it for the money and nun have fixed my issues. With over $10k invested in my suspension. I nearly had everything changed to new. Every mechanic I went to blamed the issue on other things to make money. And they never fixed my car the way I really want it to. Please help me I live in long island NY

22.04 mark you glanced over putting the strut mount on the strut, ive got a rubber washer and a metal spacer washer then my nut on the strut. just curious what order you did and if it matters

No, the suspension is different in terms of spring rates for one, not sure about the mounts.
