Today, we're going to walk you through the step by step process of installing a Pure 800 big turbo on your BMW G20 M340i with a B58! Compared to the S55, N55 and N54, this is by far the easiest of the bunch, as the turbo removal is from the top. It's also important to note that it's the same process on the xdrive and RWD models. When deleting the PCV heating element, it's very important that you utilize a tuning application, such as BM3, to turn off the check engine light that this could throw.

What do u do for a living I WANT /NEED this car these new generation m340i’s ain’t no joke that b58 engine is mean bone stock it’s insane off the lot I can only imagine adding a turbo or anything else 500hp for a sedan sheeesh I need that
Can you tell me how much a turbo set up cost for m340i? I mean everything including required supporting hardware and installation. Want to daily it with 91oct pump but open to other fuel sources so long as availability and reliability are there. Id be more than happy with 600 whp.

A well described iprocedure. Very informative. I might only add the benefits ôf using magnetic Torx bits while running smaller hardware fasteners as we are aware of how easily Torx fastener hardware tends to escape with smaller sizes.
If he called out the actual fastener size and location of each is the only difference from an actual manufacturers professional release.

Thanks for the fantastic video! gives me the confidence to do this on my own. However, I have a question regarding the coolant reservoir for the intercooler...as I had to replace my intake manifold/intercooler, and wasn't sure if it required the same vacuum process to refill?

lol...not all mechanics have the luxury or time to be detailed...typical mechanics or technicians as they are called now work on flat rate..so the faster they get a job done the more they make

Let me start by saying that I love your channel and enjoy everything you do on your cars. I think it's safe to say you convinced me into getting a 2016 428i grand coupe for myself, never thought I would and I totally love it.
Now, I've got a couple upgrades, mostly esthetics and been able to install everything myself following your instructions, but when I got the led radio trim and went to install it I realized I couldn't because my car ,apparently, is not wired to support this upgrade. I doesn't even have the ashtray light, not that is not working, It doesn't have it, not the light nor the cables... nada.
Have you encounter something like this before, what should I do?.
I'd really appreciate any help / advice you can give me

Hmm, @ 38min:11sec,...It looks like BMW went with a lower Cell count catalytic converter on th eG20 M340 vs that on the F30 340!

Before, PT called there turbos Stage1 or Stage2, now they do like TTE, but TTE’s numbers are what hp they makes...
I mean it sounds strange if pt can get 800 from the b58, when TTE calls there b58 turbo TTE580

Hey Bryan, was wondering if you’ve had this happen to you. My auto start/stop was on and I was at a stoplight so the car shut off and I when I released the brake pedal to turn the car on, it hesitated to turn on then it just stalled and went from D to N. This has happened twice now so I’m guessing it’s not just a one time glitch
you may have an issue with the start stop motor generator... take to local dealer to get inspected if under warranty

With stock B58
turbos you can already get 480-520hp with standard fuel

500 thats it? mission performance ecu tune stage 2, nets 530hp and 540 ish tq at crank. im assuming this is bolt on and no tuning. With tuning I believe these push close to 700
Is it a similar process for the G30?
Why is there also a two port turbo for this same M340i?

I would love to buy it for my 2019 m340i g20, but it's not clear what other mod would be needed to support it. Is just the pure 800 turbo + decat downpipe + mst intake enough? Should you need to modify also fuel pump, injectors or other stuff? Lastly, what about electronics? Is jb4 enough?
Also get the Awe race edition cat back exhaust and instead of jb4 get a proper tune
Injectors are fine no need to upgrade them fuel pump the oem one is good unless ur trying to run e85 then you indeed will need a stage 2 pump
