It looks like it runs parallel to the "Old River Road" (Hwy. 64) except on the other side of the Ocoee. Is that the case? It looks much straighter, with fewer potential rock slide sections, so why did they close it?

it does appear to run parallel. I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with the area. I'd like to make another trip.
