Or just type admin for the email and admin for the password. It will give an error and let you add local account after that.

It works but you have to press “ Shift + FN + F10 “ , thanks for your help. This was beyond annoying to force me to create an account. Why?
I had already put in my WIFI before I found your video. I got it to work by blocking the IP address assigned to the new computer. Once it had no wifi connection it moved on and allowed me to finish the installation.
Thanks for helping. In case if the bypass command didn't work, remove the ethernet cables and try for personal account. It worked for me.

If you are on a laptop, you may have to hold an FN key to make the Function keys work. Also, make sure you are not connected to the internet (WiFi etc) when you are installing.

My dads in a home and it keeps goi g to lick screen so i can just leave kodi running 24 7. If it acts up again will just install kisi vCtetocea linyx build. Hooefully this works 😊

Interesting. I just did this recently when I reinstalled Win 11 on my streaming computer. I'll have to test it again sometime soon. Thanks for the info.
@@HAVOK I'm currently attempting to install, what I'm finding is that Shift + 10 opens the command prompt, but no typing works. I've tried two different keyboards, and different USB ports. Once command prompt is up, no typing works.
@@beitie Try this. Go through the normal Windows setup and when it comes to the screen that askes you to enter an email and password for your Microsoft account, type in "admin" (without quotes) in both fields. It will probably give you an error message and will allow you to continue without using an MS account.
@@HAVOK Sadly I caved in and just entered my details. Hopefully someone else is able to try, and report back on the new method.
Username "admin" and password "admin" worked. An error message appeared that this account had already had too many incorrect logins. So I was able to continue without an MS account.

I need to use an older ISO, none of anything is working for me, admin, nothing... I swear I did the fake email and it worked once with this same ISO, must be the pre install updates?
You can also make sure you are not connected to the Internet.
@@HAVOK I tried that too, it would not let me move from looking for connection page, I heard the newest ISO is like that so I picked "school / work account" and chose "join domain" all is good now. thanks!
Not working on a Dell XPS, after OOBE/reboot and country/keyboard....it checks for updates (although no internet) then it wants me to name the device, I skip that and it goes straight to "Unlock your Microsoft experience" and wants me to sign in. No option "I don't have Internet". It want a MS account. Oh and Admin/Admin doesn't work, it wants you to sign in with MS account still....
That might be due to Dell's custom Windows image
I want to do this to sell a laptop. Have Windows freshly installed and activated but not synced to a MS account. Would the buyer be able to sync this to their MS account afterwards without having to rebuild it??
Unless they work in a big firm or is a student then its unlikely

This doesn't work for me. Maybe they blocked it?
I think the newer builds of Windows 11 have disabled this feature. What you can do now is type in 'admin' for both the username and password and Windows will bypass the MS Account requirement.
@@Gnarley_Davidson the admin trick works. I just did it last week with a build. Make sure you are not connected to the Internet.

Still works. Did it a couple days ago. Make sure you are pressing the correct keys and that you are unplugged from the internet.

I just set up my new laptop after being forced to create a microsoft account using local id (gmail). Is there a way that I can undo everything and go back to fresh system set up and do it using the method explained here?

I was able to do a system reset using Shift + Restart and System Reset. I followed your steps and was able to go into my new laptop without a microsoft account. This was helpful. Thanks.
