I agree. My last vehicle which I still have and my new vehicle I got last year have V8 engines. Only difference is the size. Last vehicle came with a 4.7 liter V8 engine and my new vehicle came with a 5.7 liter V8 engine.
I'm a 6 cylinder fan, but tbh....that wasn't really a great sounding V6. I think of the Lancia Stratos/Dino 246 engine or the Alfa Romeo Busso.... now those are glorious V6s.

That's what happens with exhaust mods, they can make any mediocre PoS sound mean. If these were complete NA engine's with nothing done to effect sound the v6 wouldn't sound near good.
This is too general. The number of cylinders in an engine has only a small effect on what the sound is. Not even considering that a tuned exhaust can make an engine sound any way you want, you also have to factor the bore and stroke of the cylinders, cam profiles, rpm capabilities, purpose of the engine (racing, cruising, towing, etc) and any forced induction it might have.
