Hi! Tom was one of my Uncles best friends in high school. My father tells us stories of how my grandfather would always say that Tom would be famous, due to his personality and musical talent. From the early days, he’s been an extremely talented man and incredibly unique. If you listen to some of his tunes, they are very abstract and require a couple full listens, to truly get the meaning. I highly suggest giving some songs a play!
I don’t know man, that’s some dark shit, in my experience. It has its own name written all over it, but it still tries to seduce you and pull you in. If you give it anything, it will all be lost. It will take everything you feed it and give nothing back, until eventually you don’t realize you’re being drained, not even choosing to give anymore. It’s a bottomless pit. As appealing as it is to entertain the idea, I’d rather not not gaze into the abyss.
If you think it’s cool here you can’t perceive how amazing heaven is. The unseen created the seen world. Heaven is a higher level of existence. Jesus is the Son of God and He is going to judge this world. You won’t want sin in heaven when it’s exposed for how wicked it is. This sinful dying world is going to get worse. It’s so terrible, with cancer and death, rape, disease. There’s no more sin in heaven and God will reward His children for being faithful.

Funny, Tom Waits on Fresh Air interview during the release of "Bad As Me" says the antithesis of the title here, advocating sobriety saying "I've always wanted to be .... curious and... interested in this.... sparkling sapphire... we all call home. I always wanted to be mystified by it all and fascinated with life itself and when you drink you're probably robbing yourself of that genuine experience even though it appears what you're doing is getting more of it. You're getting less of it."
If you think about reality as an unplesant experience and drugs as a means to run away from it, then those, who for some reason can not run away, are left with facing reality. So it could mean the same thing from different viewpoints concerning reality. Depending if you think optimistic or pessimistic.
"Why must I be conscious through this nightmare!?!" - Eddie Pepitone Drinkers drink for all kinds of reasons. It's important to not be simplistic or dismissive of the suffering it may come from. Some people may be optimistic but feel too sensitively to take the harsh light and sounds of everyday. And taking drugs regularly does not necessarily mean they're a miserable addict.
If you are touring and entertaining, then there will be drinking, and there will be drugs and women placed in the palm of your hand on a fairly regular basis. Hard to avoid even at low levels of local venue performance, it just goes with the territory. It's amazing any of them survive.

We're all going to die.
You don't decide anything anyway. There is no differecen between youtube serving you content and you waiting to your thoughts to figure something out. You don't control what thought will pop in your mind. Nor weather you like it or not. It just happens just like yt algo.
yoooyoyooo you just burst his bubble I'm reporting you
You e surpassed anyone with most CZcams watched clips. That was my goal in 2006
“Well it was a choice between entertainment, and a career in organized crime in Gotham city.”
This dude is nuts. Love it
My spirit animal
Funny, Tom Waits on Fresh Air interview during the release of "Bad As Me" says the antithesis of the title here, advocating sobriety saying "I've always wanted to be .... curious and... interested in this.... sparkling sapphire... we all call home. I always wanted to be mystified by it all and fascinated with life itself and when you drink you're probably robbing yourself of that genuine experience even though it appears what you're doing is getting more of it. You're getting less of it."
His wife helped him stop drinking, which was later than this.
If you think about reality as an unplesant experience and drugs as a means to run away from it, then those, who for some reason can not run away, are left with facing reality. So it could mean the same thing from different viewpoints concerning reality. Depending if you think optimistic or pessimistic.

"Why must I be conscious through this nightmare!?!" - Eddie Pepitone
Drinkers drink for all kinds of reasons.
I love Tom! One of the few musicians I truly consider an artist. He paints pictures in your mind!
He gives me Charles Bukowski vibes when he speaks.
You should talk to more homeless ppl
@@Freddy_Confetti they won’t.
I love this. Thank you for uploading, Petru.
Everyone is in wonder that he is still alive. He is a showman, plays his alter ego for the public. He is not a Charles Bukowski in life, but a Bukowski in his music.
According to one of Bukowski’s publicists he also wasn’t a true drunk, but put on an act.
"How do you feel".."O i feel better than nothin" 😆 classic
His thought pattern and behaviour grabs you instantaneously - always intriguing with this gentlemen each time he was in an interview - love his work too 🔥🔥🔥
"I worry primarily about whether there are nightclubs in heaven"
A man after my own heart
WOW cool dude great singer and writer
"You wanna know how I got these scars?"
It's absolutely stunning how Heath managed to recreate Tom's voice wow respect to both
Thank you so much where are you writing from?
"My father was an exhaust manifold. My mother was a tree"
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
I took it as his father was a mechanic and mother was a stay at home mom.
@@-KillaWatt- take it as his mom was a lovely, peaceful person bringing life to his life! and his father suffocated her...get it?!
Legend.
"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.".... That really is one of the greatest off the cuff quips ever. Couldn't agree more Tom, couldn't agree more.
"I worry primarily about whether there is Nightclubs in heaven". I hear you Tom.
"I worry primarily about whether there are nightclubs in heaven" this man's in my brain
The last line encapsulates this guy😂😂
Reality is for people who can’t face drugs, He had me there.
I can totally see this guy saying "It's simple. We need to kill The Batman"
I'm no lunatic man. I'm a sane man fighting for his soul
This man is pure charisma
i love this
He’s so chaotic and I aspire to be at his level of outlandishness
This man's pure gold
What a healthy sounding individual!
Bottle in front of me / frontal lobotomy was so incredibly quick, off the cuff and clever. Wow ❤
My dad turned me into his music when I was a kid. I'm 43 now. Loved "the piano has been drinking"
Your dad sounds like a magician, I wish I could be turned into a Tom Waits song
@@sillygoober698 haha... yea, he was awesome. My first "concert" was a pink Floyd laser show. Lol.
@@ThrewOutMyHaloThank you so much , where are you writing from?
I think it was his escape from reality that made him such a brilliant song writer.
Escaping reality allows you to observe it objectively for once.
He plays this character very well
What a character 👏
He moves around and has the body language of Nate Diaz.
sayvar44
Lmao
Nah dude. Nate Diaz moves around and has the body language of Tom Waits.
I’m always so happy when i find an MMA comment on a unrelated video
@@tornaclconor5149 especially when it's a diaz one!!
absolutely love tom waits everything about him
So much of this from my hometown....Melbourne Australia, "The Don Lane Show". Don't let the fact the Don was from the US of A. fool you......that's Oz primetime right there. Mr. Waits freaked the town out.
