Do this Turkish Delight without using corn syrup!

Turkish delight sweet has the soft squishy texture and is perfectly sweet candy that is incredibly easy to make at home. Customize this recipe with your favorite flavors for this homemade Lokum aka Turkish Delight!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water
4 cups white sugar
2-3 tablespoon lemon or calamansi juice
Cornstarch paste:
2 cups water
1 cup cornstarch
1 tsp cream of tartar
flavor and color:
1 tbsp buko pandan extract
1/2 tsp. green food color
Coating:
1/2 cup powdered sugar(more if needed)
1/2 cup cornstarch(more if needed)
