Wr got sniped last night, so I sniped it back first try :).
This run has two 40s time losses, plus a couple other small things, but everywhere else was really solid. I think I'm done with solo waw now, 1:14 despite how much time was lost, is still a really good run, even if it gets beat I'm happy with getting the 1:14 first. Now just to get 53s in coop.
This might make an interesting story for any future historians of waw speedrunning lol, wr changing hands 3 times in 24 hours.

My only complaint is the ridiculous grenade spam that this game is infamous for, especially on veteran
I mean that's probably similar to the amount of explosions were going on at the peak of WW2.

The scariest thing to imagine, you're a German soldier, you're bleeding. Your left leg has been blown of by tanks and your just awaiting death. Just to see a Red Army soldier B hopping faster then anything you've seen in your life killing you comrades.

Really surprising just how possible a 1:13 is, have you seen any of the new strats? like on breaking point.
@@klooger28 not many in particular, I saw some small things after I stopped running the game but nothing major
@@Saiyanz the one on breaking point is right after the mortar pits, you can skip having to deal with a big enemy spawn, on coop it can be used so well that Roebuck never even slows down.

I think from memory the two shot on tanks is for just the top turret on the tank. If you hit the sides it doesn’t work. You can get one hit explosives or two hit projectiles on the bottom but that’s more flakey.
Faster to try for two direct hits each time and hope for luck though in a speed run, one missed rocket and you reset

I remember when I was a kid, that 40 second glitch at the end of semper fi made me so angry 😂 I remember it at least twice

1:03.65 is subtracted off the timer, because the cutscene at the start of their land their blood isn't counted, this is done because that cutscene is removed from the german version of the game.

really on recruit i would be more impressed on hardened or veteran but sure
Veteran is a bit of a meme for speedruns, it's a lot about getting lucky, even with highly refined strategies, the highest level competition is always done on the lowest difficulty. I have done plenty of veteran runs though, just not for this specific game unfortunately.
So you do a little bit of game design yourself and understand how the engine works.
