Insomnia is a drag! And if you go without it, especially over a consistent time, you don’t feel well &
eventually experience hallucinations ~ our minds can create very weird manifestations! I’ve recently
been fasting & have had a few sleepless nights...wish I was still a kid!

The body does NOT CRAVE A REGULAR TIME TO WAKE UP!😃 IF this statement is true? Then. What is the REAL REASON FOR ALARM CLOCKS?? Why do human creatures NEED OR appear to need AlarmCLOCK PROMTERS to STARTLE, SCARE, JANGLE OUR NERVOUS SYSTEMS to encourage WAKE UP!😃???? Please EXPLAIN.

Ive always worked nights my entire life and have always felt like crap, bloated, lethargy, moodiness, trying to sit down and/or take naps, had a hard time getting up from bed, etc. Recently started working morning so I have to wake up at 4am and I haven’t felt better, I get up from bed without thinking and I am ready for work within 20 minutes, I don’t feel tired, I actually have better digestion and overall wellbeing but by 8pm I start getting really tired and I’m ready to go back to bed.

I enjoyed the lecture. I have avoided this topic because I was a night shift worker, now I am not and am ready to face the reality. I am finding it difficult to switch back to being diurnal. This may be the inspiration I needed to get me there.

I have always had the belief that there would be plenty of time for sleep when I get dead. Getting old and can not get away with it anymore. When I get enough sleep now I have great relief from arthritis/gout and asthma.

I can hardly sleep with or without medicine and in my small place living situation and I can’t stay asleep anymore well. I thought it was bad when I only couldn’t fall. I see a naturopath and nothing works especially not living alone I listen to two forms of white mouse and take magnesium and use earplugs and am now too tired to go outside to try and get sun often which is just fear. Also the medicine makes me not stop eating and the bathroom is in the bedroom even though I now stay in here alone. I get so upset when people say oh get enough sleep because I don’t know how and my brain won’t shut up and I can’t go on with this 2-5 hours bs and sometimes no nights. I think I get more infighting or flight the longer I go without it, ugh. I wish I could fix this but fear I cannot and it’s really disturbing and worsening my gut and mood issues.

Thank you for a great lecture. I have severe fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis and can see from your lecture the possible connections between my long term sleep deprivation and pain and the general deteriatiin in my health and increased weight. Has any work been done on the link between sleep deprivation and neuropathy?

Women and men age differently; would have been good if they had done the experiments based, not only on the age, but also gender.
For instance, women go through menopause in their 50s, which changes EVERYTHING, including sleep pattern and quality of sleep.
Also, knowing something about the health conditions and lifestyles of the people would have been useful, since everything effects the quality of your sleep...
Still, it was a good talk.
    Edit: spelling error.
