is it possible that the camera only turns on with a film roll in it?

Very useful video! I got this camera about a week ago but I have one question... Ehat does the green button (tele micro) do or how do you use it?

I have this camera and when I switch it off the exposure count number stays on in the little LED window on top which I thought might drain the battery. On modern devices LEDs switch off when device is off so I wondered if this was normal. It's been ok except I have to remember to fully open the automatic shutter cover when I switch the camera on as it's sticking. I suppose the only way I'll know camera is fully ok is when I get the film developed

Heyy nice video!! I have the same camera but I don't really know if it works. I put x4 AAA brand new batteries and it says it's low battery in the LCD window then the camera starts to make strange noises when I press any button. In the video I saw you use a CR-P2 battery maybe I should try these instead of the AAA. Have you ever tried the AAA ones in your Zoom 70?

It happened with mine too! Only started when I used the zoom lens many times. I've only took like 2 photos and then my worst nightmare happened. Good thing, the zoom lens returned to its original position. I tried switching it off and on several times, until it doesn't fully cover the lens anymore when I turn it off. The LCD window said I have low battery. I gave up. That was 2018. Today, I used 1.4V AAA rechargeable batteries (they're not yet fully charged) and the LCD window says the same thing that I have low battery. I pressed the shutter button and it's still making weird sounds like something's stuck on the lens.
