Instead of using cooking spray, Just heat the peanut oil up in the fryer and when its at temp just lower the empty basket in the oil for 10-20 seconds then take the basket out and then sit your turkey in. Now your turkey won't stick.
Thank you 👍🏽
I own four fryers. Two propane two electric. I have one just like this one. Also use a masterbuilt electric smoker. What I've learned in almost 40 years of frying and smoking turkeys is the meat don't care where the heat comes from.
I bought this exact fryer and I will be using it for my first fried turkey for Thanksgiving. I filled it with water yesterday and submerged the bird while still in plastic. That way I know exactly how much oil to use to cook evenly. I'm excited! 🤗
this my yearly go to video!!!
Great video. I just bought a fryer like that. You detailed every question I had, and even some tips on things that I haven't thought of. I can only hope that I can get my bird to be as amazing as that one looked.
You are a great instructor ..I love it
I appreciate that!
I followed your directions and the turkey was the best by far and my loved it thanks brother!
Glad you enjoyed it
Good looking out my boi. Going to follow your recipe and fry me a turkey in my new fryer for Easter. Stay blessed!
Right on! Thanks for watching!
I've been frying my turkey for 7 years. That electric fryer is the truth (like you said). HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Same to you!
Great presentation bro you did a Outstanding job on that!
I appreciate that!
Love using the electric fryer for Turkey
Same here. It a good way to get it done.
Thank you for this idea for injecting. The best smoked cajun turkey I ever had.
Awesome! Great to hear!
Buddy gave me a fryer a yr ago! Finally getting ready to try it out. His Turkey was really good!
Hope you enjoy it..It's a good piece of equipment.
Wow.. Thx for the great vid and info.. I just got an electric fryer today and cooking me first Turkey tomorrow... Thank you for lettin me know how to do it...
Hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
@@TheRollingGrill its came out GREAT.. I can see room for improvement but still very good for first time.
Great Job all the way around- Thank you for concise, very detailed & step by step instruction. Especially the caution areas- HAPPY THANKSGIVING, GOD BLESS AND ENJOY YOUR "GBD TURKEY"!
Glad it was helpful!
you're a king of kings. love you
Thank you!
Very informative! Thank you! This will be my first year frying a turkey alone. I’ve always watch my brother in law. So this was quite helpful!
You can do it! Thanks for watching!
This is a great instructional video. Thanks for a clear and thorough explanation.
Glad it was helpful!
Fried turkey is the only way to go!
Absolutely!
Period
Thanks just bought one yesterday
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks Great !
Thanks!
Great video! What system are you using to vacuum seal the turkey?
Thank you for the recipe. I used it last Thanksgiving. I marinated over night, cut it up then smoked it. The best turkey I have ever tasted. Came back for a refresher.
That is awesome!
Dude knows what he is doing.
Auugh, your fryer is THE BOMB
Thank you!
That bird us the truth brother. Outstanding video
Thanks Bruh! 💪🏾
One nice fried turkey, all in a bag, nicely sealed, priceless! Cheers and Merry Christmas! Khadeeja Alghali-Rahman (London, UK)
Thanks You! Same to you!
video still rockin in 2022
Right on!
Been frying turkey for 35 years. A few years ago I was unable to use my regular propane fryer. I bought this exact fryer. Not too bad. It is a good alternative. My only knock is how short the cord is.
That is my same gripe about mine as well! I wish the cord was longer.
Good video, bro! Been using this method for years to fry turkeys, and recently switched to using the Char Broil Big Easy to air-fry the turkey. It comes out very good as well, although the skin is not as crispy as the deep fried method.
Good stuff! I agree the skin doesn't get as crispy. That's one of the knocks on the method.
Wsup Eric! I didn't even know you had a CZcams channel. I'm subscribed bro!! -Brandon
Hey Brandon! Thaks for checking in and subbing to the channel!
I marinated two days too and was scared I was overdoing
Thanks for makin me feel better
Right on! Glad it came out good!
Good 2 tutorial man, I will be a 1st time turkey fryer this holiday. However, I had ordered a oilless turkey fryer from Charbroil.
Good stuff! You can't go wrong either way.
@@TheRollingGrill I ordered the electric fryer this year. Can't wait 2 try it out.
Do a smoked fried Turkey. I think I’m going to try it this year.
Smoked Fried is even better!
I dry brine my turkey before frying it and it turns out great. Also instead of spraying the basket I dip it into the oil and then place the turkey in the basket and lower it.
Nice job on the turkey though.
Great tip! Thanks for watching.
Bought mine two thanksgivings ago. I will NEVER put a turkey in the oven again.😂😂😂😂
Right on!
What brand is the fryer?
Make sure to take it out of the box and test it asap.
Bought one from Walmart this year.
Broken out of the box.
Would not turn on.
Likely the completely unneeded safety switch is defective. Spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to troubleshoot it.
Everything in the area closed for Thanksgiving so no exchange possible and had to put it in the oven.
Thanks Masterbuilt.
Good tip!
Thank you for this cause I would be pissed come Thursday if I have that issue!!
Using my fryer for the first time this week. Have always used a pot. Did you fry it at 375? That is what my guide recommends but I have always cooked mine around 350.
I did 375 but i can tell you the electric fryer does not get as hot as th pot so the 375 electric might be really close to 350. I think this week i'm going to try 350 to see if I can tell a difference.
Omg I never thought of that ..2 gallon bag
They work!

Wassup my man, your video just popped up in my feed and I was wondering if you could send me the link to purchase the Turkey fryer you have?
I purchased it on Amazon but i see they don't have it in stock anymore . The product number is in the link and they now sell it online at Walmart and Lowes. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HR6D9ZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’m really surprised that it took so long for an electric turkey fryer to come out. That whole thing going outside with the propane burner and the big pot was always scary as hell for me. First time I did it, I nearly set myself on fire.
It's been out for awhile I have this same one for 5 yrs now
Can you drop a link to where you got the deep fryer?
@@shabatanyissachar7359I got mine mine from Walmart but if u Google butterball electric turkey fryer it will pop up w/ all the places that have it available
Tfs
Thanks for watching.
How much garlic, hit sauce and Cajun seasoning do you use?
I dont measure i really just go off feel and taste. If it taste good go with it!
Yeeesserky fried Turkey 🤣🤣
Gotta Love it!! lol
What injection do you use....I just bought a fryer today
It was www.tonychachere.com/product/creole-style-butter/
I love my electric fryer. But instead of spraying the basket I just dip it in the oil before I put the turkey in.
Excellent tip!
If you dip your basket in the hot oil first prior to putting the bird in. Will keep the bird from sticking.
Also don’t know about you or what others think ? But the butterball xxl deep fryer doesn’t get the birds crispy enough. I may have to get a propane vertical fryer for the future. Thoughts ?
I agree the only thing I don't like is the skin not getting super crispy. I'm going to try and cook one this time without closing the lid. I believe the lid causes the un-crispy skin.
@@TheRollingGrill hmm. Interesting. Never thought to try that. But would that also cause the oil/heat temp to lower?
What brand of seasoning is that? 👀
Tony Chachere's Marinade, Butter, Cajun, Injectables, 17 fl oz you can find it at walmart www.walmart.com/ip/Tony-Chachere-s-Marinade-Butter-Cajun-Injectables-17-fl-oz/10313897?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=1720&adid=2222222227710313897_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-294505072980&wl5=9010783&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=10313897&wl13=1720&veh=sem_LIA&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsdKbBhDHARIsANJ6-jfnd2u2LloB3APE5yib3U259WZtF1ZVYD5AK9e0NxrOZxgQOFNWgPoaAlbkEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Where u get the fryer from plzzz
I bought min on Amazon a few years back but Walmart and Lowes have them and the price is better. this is the model Masterbuilt MB23012418 Butterball XL Electric Fryer, 10L - Extra Large, Gray
Question do I have to use peanut oil my son is allergic to peanuts can I use another oil?
When deep frying a turkey, you can use any cooking oil that has a smoke point above 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Corn oil works well also because it doesn't smoke until 440 degrees Fahrenheit Peanut oil is just just the best because of the high heat it can take.
@@TheRollingGrill thanks for replying
I have the same fryer but I still cook outside just because lol 😆
I have the XXL one…and I still don’t trust it inside the house
lol! trust me i had the same concerns unitl i tried it.
Yo can I get that turkey in My fryer I'm to late to be doing all this
Hi.. I didn't think it was safe to fry it like this?..
Try it. it works!
"First things first.."
Me: :I poppa freak all the honeys..😏😏😏
A you post the seasoning ingredients list to the description as I am a new cook. Than you in advance
So what sauce is it that everybody else knows about? 😉😁😁
Lol. Tony Chachere's Injection Creole Butter. You'll find it at most grocery stores.
After the injection I salt the turkey, and leave in the rig uncovered.
GBD! lol
lol!
Dude, why did you use margarine and not butter…?
You can use real butter but it tends to burn in the deep fryer so I use the margarine. Most of the store bought injection use margarine as well.
I cannot for the life of me get the turkey to crisp. I have the same model.
I have the same model and have experienced what you’re talking about. Firstly, any turkey over 14lbs will not remain fully submerged. If that happens, it’s likely not to ever crisp. The smaller the turkey the better the cook. Secondly, I cook my turkeys beyond 165 degrees like he did. The longer it stays in the grease the crispier it gets. I cook to an internal temp of 185.
Great advice
Bruh, highly 'dry season' , 'CUT, pieces'. Drop in HOT Grease.... The Best EASY ever !!! .....couple days seasoned before frying, makes it even better ....The End
Right on
You leave at 375 the whole time
yes
🫡👨🏿🍳
Yikes!
use butter next time!
