This is a little school in a little state. We are currently number one in baseball and are repeatedly near the top. For many years Arkansas has owned track and field. Last time I checked, those are sports. We have been decent to very good in basketball. Pretty sure Arkansas athletics is far from a joke. All things considered, lots to be proud of.
It really depends on your definition of a joke. If the student athletes are graduating and leading successful lives after the sport then I would say it’s pretty successful…….if success is only measured by national championships then every college team fails except one each year.
Tbh me saying they are a joke is over exaggerating, baseball is doing great so is women’s sports. This whole situation is just confusing because why did HY put out that video, does he have something up his sleeve? Is he pushing muss out the door? That’s what I’m wondering
The Arkansas Men and Women Athletics will neva compete in sports/The SEC period until The AD do right by this university This is sad situation but Hunter Yurachek should be fired along with Sam Pittman and Mike Neighbors In the SEC you gotta keep elevate in this conference
It’s simple. Fayetteville is not a town elite coaches want to be at. Look around, Knoxville, Gainesville, Tusc, Lexington, Nashville, all severely better than Fayetteville. Muss had to get out of that small town. Look at Kentucky, Lexington is an awesome small city next to Louisville, Nashville, and Cincinnati. Arkansas is getting to the point where the place the college is located is the problem. I lived near UA for a small time and I can tell you it’s going to be a hard sell moving forward. I think it’s a cool little town, but it’s located to nothing and it’s too small for big personality coaches. Arkansas is just not a state people want to be in unless you’re from there and feel the hometown way. Arkansas football and basketball is trending down for these reasons. It’s not a destination job, and it’s the worst college town in the entire SEC. Arkansas would do a lot better in the big12.
