in this video, I'll show you how to build an easy item sorter for a gold farm for Minecraft Bedrock 1.21. This efficient item sorter will sort out the items you want to keep, such as gold, gold nuggets, and rotten flesh. While sending gold swords into lava! It's straightforward and easy to construct and will greatly benefit your Minecraft world.
This tutorial was recorded on Minecraft Bedrock 1.21. If Java is not mentioned in the title or description, then I have NOT tried this out on Java. But if Java is mentioned, then I have tested this (or someone else has) and it works fine.

Okay everyone who is struggling to get this to sort properly, I've cracked the code. Based on the comments it seems I'm far from the only one. The redstone comparator is measuring the amount of items in the 2nd set of hoppers but is turning on/off the bottom set behind the chests. Hoppers won't pump anything out when powered by redstone but absolutely will accept things put into them by hoppers above that are not powered off. The easiest solution I could find for this was as follows, put some trash block, I used dirt, across the 4 slots of the bottom hoppers the way the video shows the smooth stone being placed in the 2nd row of hoppers above. Just make sure you don't use the same trash block as you used for the 2nd row, for example I put cobblestone where the video shows smooth stone. So long as there aren't more than 45 items total in the hoppers above, the redstone power should prevent this dirt from emptying out. Next, place a stack of whatever item you want to sort into the chest in the leftmost slot of the bottom row of hoppers. It needs to be a stack or else the hopper above will empty the items of the same type into the bottom hopper despite it being powered off. It does not matter if you keep 41 of the item you want sorted in the 2nd row of hoppers, just so long as you have any so nothing else gets placed in there while your farm runs. Eventually it will hit 41 and then the items will start filling the chests. Here's some screenshots I took in case the explanation isn't clear:

works well, and as a side note, if your rotten flesh fills up, you can take out the 41 from the hopper and place another trash block, that'll cause any rotten flesh going through the system to go into the dispenser, and you can always revert it back quickly too if you need to collect

you should be sorting those swords into blast furnaces that you fuel with a dried kelp farm. more gold nuggets to turn into gold bars.

I have a problem it puts everything into all the chest and as soon as I put stuff into the middle row of hoppers it all goes into the chests
The system for the farm is good, but I noticed in my "trash" ejector that it drops 2 or 3 nuggets of gold, what can I do to prevent this from happening?
Small tip : instead of 41 items u can put just one item (you want to sort) in 1st slot of hopper nd 41 dirt in 2nd slot nd 1 dirt in 3rd,4th nd 5th slot of hopper..
And also you can expand this storage system by adding more chest underneath the chest nd each doublechest with a hopper
Great tip! Although I have found that having just one item instead of 41, can glitch out sometimes, thus meaning other items can go into those chest, this might just be a problem with really powerful gold farms tho.

@@lil.heartattack8293 i did i realized i put the torches on the wrong side of the block and that was causing the hoppers to not work correctly but ur method works!
The 41 items in the hopper go into the chest and the space runs out then any item fills it and goes into the chest can I fix this
Omg thank you so much dude ive been looking for a video to sort stuff and I honestly thoughft this didnt work because i accidentally placed the redstone compators the wrong way which made it not work i tthought i wasted my time but after i fixed it it worked good

if the redstone clock torch keeps burning out after 5 ticks just add 1 delay on the repeater

yeah it's amazing, if you want in the middle instead of stacking the nuggets in the chest, you put a crafter looking at the gold ingot chest, and put a clock made by two observers looking at each other right next to the crafter so that it crafts ingots and puts them automatically in the adjacent ingot chest

I use blast furnaces to smelt swords, but from time to time, gold ingot, flesh or gold nuggets end up in furnaces. Any idea how to fix it?
Hello, that could be becouse those few gold ingots, flesh or nuggets are going to fast, thus meaning the hoppers dont pick them up. you could fix this by making this system "double", as in have two rows of chests for gold, gold nuggets, and rotten flesh. that would allow for a second change of those items being picked up.
Sometimes the gold bars end up going in the dispenser? It could be that I used 1 of each item and 44 filler blocks instead of 41 items and 4 fillers
i occasionally have items make it to the last hopper that fills the trash dispenser. however only rotten flesh can go past and into the hopper, so i dont lose anything. i just make sure to check that hopper every now and again.
Nothing is going into the chests. Everything else works fine. They just fill into the hoppers with 41 of the item instead of filtering into the chest
i would say that means you have the incorrect amount of filler items
Doesnt work every goes into the lava because the hopper are facing right into the dropper

you can but that means you would have to still sort everything as in the video and then move them all into a single chest. This would just waste more resources but feel free to do so
why are the golden ingots and nuggets going into the dropper?? i did everything right in the video as you showed it.

I have 2 issues with this one, 1. my dropper/dispenser don't work. 2. I can't place items in the hopper, they will get sucked in and went don't in the Chest. Any Solution? I'm new to MC 😅
Hello! If the dropper thing don’t work, then you have probably built the red stone wrong. Checkt that, make sure you use solid blocks.
Same for the hoppers, if the items don’t stay in them, then you have either placed the items in the wrong hopper, or built the red some wrong:)
@@haakonplayer77 nah I checked everything, the item won't stay in the Hopper. He will always eat that item and deliver it into the chest or anywhere. I can't make the Hopper keep the item in it. Is this a Bedrock thing or something? Idk I play on Java.

Just to make sure, you built everything with solid blocks? All the blocks under the red stone? They are solid blocks right? No class, no slabs, right?
Why not instead of putting the swords have them drop jnto a blast furnace with a kelp feeder that way your smelting a bunch of those swords for the extra gold too?
I don't think you'll need extra gold with this farm😅

I did this and they don’t smelt fast enough so it clogs and messes up the sorter

Are you on bedrock or java, I believe on java redstone torches stop working if they are ticked too fast in a small period of time
I have this problem I built two of these the first one works fine but the second the dropper constant tick isn’t working even tho I’ve copied the other one next to it accurately. Lmk if u fixed urs and how

Hmmm. I think i do something wrong. Everything is destroyed by the lava.
If everything is destroyed in the lava, then your item collects are built wrong, check the red stone and filling blocks!
Checked everything. Only rotten flesh is destroyed. Gold goes to the hopper. But not in the chest. Rebuild everything again. But same result. The 41 gold. And the 4 blocks. Go in the middle row of hoppers . If i see correct.
