@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee I disagree that Paul Rodgers is "better than Freddie." As a matter of fact very few singers can be compared to Freddie Mercury, he was in a class all of his own. Freddy could sing anything that Paul Rodgers did but Paul Rodgers could not sing everything Freddie did. I don't know, I saw the firm back in the '80s with Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers and I definitely didn't compare him to Robert Plant. As a matter of fact it never entered my mind. I'm a first-year GenX - 1966 - and love me some BadCo....please check out some of their live stuff. "Merchants of Cool" release has so many live versions of songs to which you've reacted & just show how amazing Paul & Bad Co truly are because they effortlessly perform all these classics live. No sing-along tracks, no auto-tune...nada.

Bad Company the song and Shooting Star are must listen. Shooting Star is a deep song that touched on the rapid rise and tragic falls of 60's and 70's rock stars.

Paul Rodgers is top 5 rock vocalists of all time, in my opinion. From his work with Free, Bad Company, the Firm, the Law....all the way to his collaboration with Queen, his voice is always amazing and sooooo perfecdt for rock, from hard-hitting songs to ballads.

Now you need to listen to the lead track from the album, which is also called "Bad Company". Paul Rodgers, the lead singer wrote the song first, and then decided to use it as the band name. He said he remembered a book from childhood that was about Victorian morals. There was a drawing in the book of a tough looking street hood leaning against a lamppost with a liquor bottle in his hand, and the caption read "Beware of Bad Company'. There was also a movie by the same name. Makes you realize that 1974 had some great music!

Just wanted to tell you, the DVD i sent you, Paul Rodgers live in Glasgow is the lead singer for Bad Company and also the singer for the group Free who sang Alright Now. He also toured with Queen after Freddie Mercury passed away. He is known as The Voice. Awsome singer.

Early 80's, in my '72 Firebird, this comes on the radio, suddenly driving too fast, radio maxed out. Glad you hit it. I agree with other posters, "Shooting Star" needs to be hit. And personally, this song title reminds me of "World of Fantasy" by Triumph. Another great one and a band you should hit, if you haven't already. Lastly, my Wife cares little for CZcams, but enjoys your videos if she's in the room with me. Thanks and have a great day. :)

Paul Rogers has that bluesy soulful sound with his vocals. Early years with the band Free, or Bad Company and his solo stuff he’s been blessed with just a great voice. Mick on guitar, Boz on bass & Simon on drums - Bad Co was my jam

Damnnnn. I'm 62 y/o and when this song started playing I got goosebumps and instantly felt 18 y/o old again 😂..The time travel was deep to this one! I was instantly driving my Red 1965 Mustang, all decked out and heading to the dance club!!!! Feeling big and bad all over again 😂! Whooooo. You said you like that "galaxy" feeling at the end. Try the band "Boston" their music gives you a "space ship galaxy" feeling all through their music and were loved by everyone in my generation. 👍

  • @jonathangeraldrobinson720

The Original Bad Company, Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs, Simon Kirke, and Boz Burrell, are my favorite band by a mile. Their secret weapon being the very understated but infinitely solid drumming of Simon Kirke. You gotta check out a band called The Firm, featuring Paul Rodgers on vocals and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page on guitar. Some of their songs: "Radioactive," "Satisfaction Guaranteed," "All the King's Horses," and "Live in Peace."
